It's a fabulous suit, and very comfortable. It looks best done up like this.
- Pleather jacket - Only, consignment; last worn here in March with the pants
- Pleather pants - Only, consignment; last seen here in March with the jacket
- Top - Clover Canyon, thrifted; last worn here in August 2023(!) with white jeans
- Shoes - Chanii B; last seen here (2nd outfit) earlier this month with a green dress for the theatre
- Leather trenchcoat (below) - vintage 70s, thrifted; last worn here a couple of weeks ago
But I'm moving around and working, so unbuttoned ye shall be! I got a little sweaty in it at times - I wish it was real leather.
I made all my coworkers guess what the image on my shirt is. I already spoiled it in the title - it's an accordion.
The office was quiet, but I did have a big Teams meeting that I'd totally forgotten about.

"Oh, you're leaving."
Mondays are always a blur.
I try to get Vizzini settled in a comfy spot on the bed where he can sleep all day, but he's always a little needy.
"And you're going to stay home, right?"
Sorry, little guy. But thanks for the visit!
Accoutrements:
We had torrential rain overnight, so I wasn't taking any chances.
- Silk scarf - Pierre Balmain, vintage, Mom via Diane via Andrea
- Hat - Delux, Saanich Fair, c. 2008
- Gloves - Thinsulate, thrifted
The stuff:
These are such comfy shoes, but they are getting a little worn. Any tips for darkening up the suede a bit?

Brass bling:
Some favourites in soothing metal.
One more blurry shot - try telling a cat to hold still.

"I don't like that bear."
Don't look at the bear!
Two suits in two weeks! Both make perfect outfits, and this suit is saved by having pockets in the jacket. The slits at the bottom front of each leg are interesting and maybe even make walking a tad easier? Wonderful autumnal colors coupled with the accordion top. Sending big long distance tummy rubs for Vizzini!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Laurie
Yup, I've been in a suit kinda mood lately! Yes, the pockets are excellent - I wish the pants had more structure (not even a zip - they pull on). Thank you so much, and the tummy rubs were much appreciated, Laurie, thank you!
DeleteI love the colour of your suit, it is perfectly Autumnal and waterproof, too - always a bonus.
ReplyDeleteYou can buy suede dye, I've used it before and the results were pretty good.
Wriggly Vizzini, he does look spooked by the bear! William's currently wrestling a furry peapod, a present from Ann & Jos! xxx
Waterproof, absolutely (and sweaty!). Oh, thanks for the tip on the suede dye - I'll keep my eyes out. I might give it a go with some of my felt-tip pens too, since I have a rainbow of colours.
DeleteHe and the bear do not get along. Oh, I can just picture that little guy having a go at his peapod. Have you heard from Ann about Jos at all? I'm worried about her.
I have, Jos has been in hospital and was expected home last weekend, he's starting to feel better. It's been such a worrying time for Ann. xxx
DeleteThank you for letting me know, Vix!
DeleteI highly recommend Fiebing’s Suede and Rough Out Dye; it’s usually $6-8 US. It would definitely renew those shoes.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, thanks, Julia!
DeleteAngelus makes good suede dye also. They specialize in sneaker revamping so they have some good colors, too. Vizzini is irresistible with that fuzzy little face! I’ll bet it’s hard to leave in the morning…
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip!
DeleteIt is...he's so cute. I always say goodbye to him before I leave.
