Re-Wear Woolly, Blossom Pink Denim and Two Menswear

We're now at the final week of my wardrobe season - I've booked my closet swap-over for this weekend, so very exciting! This week, I'm playing around, doing a few re-wears, and still trying to Wear All The Clothes.
This outfit features a re-wear - the woolly leopard skirt. While I like it in the pictures, it was big on me, and bagged out over the day, so I'm not keeping it.

  • Denim jacket - Talbots, consignment; purchased here for $28.80
  • Wool sweater - John Varvatos menswear, consignment; last seen here (2nd outfit) in January for a haircut
  • T-shirt - O-Gen, thrifted; last worn here in February, layered under grey
  • Skirt - Marc Cain, thrifted, Sidney; first seen here in the first 'fit of the season in October 2024
  • Shoes - Vogettes Pina, Fluevog; last worn here a couple of weeks ago with my Picador skirt
  • Jacket (below) - Dolce & Gabbana, menswear, consignment; last seen here in September 2024

I'm anticipating my spring colours with this denim jean jacket, the exact shade of the fat pink blossoms that are about to explode. It was very comfortable, and the side pockets are big enough for my phone.
It's very Bossy, though - it completely pulls focus from everything else.

I had visions of tying the black wool menswear sweater at my waist or layering it over my jacket, but the plain white tee wasn't dressy enough on its own.
I actually liked this layered look - a bit of white tee peeked out at the neckline as well as the hem.

Perfect fit on the jacket.
I'm looking longingly at the skirt, but reminding myself of how stretched out it was by end of day. I know one of my friends is going to love it.

I actually really like the outfit without the jacket. See what I mean about it being Bossy?
This look is easily replicated with a different skirt - it's not like I'm lacking alternatives.

It's raining! I'm also done with this Dolce & Gabbana zip jacket.
Again, it's a menswear piece, but it doesn't fit me properly and I don't love it - I definitely don't reach for it.

Accoutrements:
I'm in a Limbo mood! These gloves are also in there - they are too big on me.

  • Scarf - fake Louis (Lewis!) Vuitton, thrifted
  • Bucket hat - Babaton, consignment
  • Leather gloves - thrifted

The stuff:
I love these shoes, what a good purchase! *pats self on back*

Poky bling:
I'm eyeing that cuff - it snagged on my sweater multiple times.

  • Cuff with crystals - Loren Hope, consignment
  • Bangle with amber crystals - NuWite & RG&B, vintage 1920s, vintage mall
  • Lobster brooch - Bermuda, Mom's
  • Necklace - Stella & Dot, thrifted
  • Silver/crystal ring - Uffizi Gallery gift shop, Florence
  • Silver/crystal ring - Soul Flower
  • Earrings - Alexis Bittar, consignment, gift from L

Have you been doing any spring cleaning in your wardrobe?

  1. Fabulous jacket. I had a similar one once. However I really like the outfit without it. Similar vibe to the olive lace jeans one imo. Cannot see a link to the shoes. Are they Vogs? Rdgs Lise

    1. Same here, Lise - but you know I just wanted to wear it! Dang, missed the shoes - I've updated and yes, they are Fluevogs! These are on sale right now, I believe!

  2. What a shame about the skirt, but there's no time for baggy garments in our lives, isn't there.
The pink denim jacket is delightfully springlike and another reminder that I need to dig out mine. Not sure how the pocket situation on mine, but as I got it for free I'm planning to live with it even if it's pocketless.
I'm not ready for my swap-over yet, but I'm wishing you good luck - and lots of fun - with yours! xxx

  3. I love the pink jacket, but you’re right about it being an attention seeker. I really like the white tee sticking out from the black sweater. I’m constantly purging my closet. Almost everything is in one closet so I don’t have to switch closets anymore. I was pretty relentless earlier in getting rid of things that didn’t feel like me anymore.

  4. You look beautiful in this outfit. The black sweater layered with a white tee under is a cute look. I really like the pink denim jacket and the D&G jacket. The leopard skirt is very pretty. I love how one of the leopard spots has a definite heart shape. Still, if you don't love this skirt, best to let it go. Same for the menswear D&G jacket. If you're not feeling it, let it go.

P.S. I haven't gotten to spring cleaning. I really have no excuse for it, as I'm only working freelance stuff (i.e. part time) until I start my new job contract in April. I mean I should do it, but I cannot bring myself. It's been raining for days. Maybe I can blame it on the rain.

  5. That jacket is so pretty and spring-like!
Good luck with your change-around. Our clocks go forward this weekend which usually means the weather gets colder so we've got a couple more months of sleeves and boots! xxx
