Zebra Striped Jammy With Blues

My outfit today was task-specific - I had to do some clambering around on desks and be physical, so I dressed appropriately. Jammy Dress time!
This dress reminded me of a zebra - gee, I wonder why?

  • Dress - Massimo Dutti, thrifted; purchased here for $19.95
  • Boots - Groovy Huysmans, Fluevog; last seen way back here in January with a neutral mélange
  • Leather coat (below) - Danier Leather, thrifted; last worn here in September over Kenzo tiger

It performed admirably for all my tasks - I didn't even get it dirty!
It did cling a bit to my tights - it's not at the Cotton Rage stage, but good to know.

This might live in my spring/summer wardrobe, since I already have a striped dress in my fall/winter closet - this InWear one here, which is thicker and better cut/quality.
I liked the long hem on this dress - it's got big slits on either side.

I'd originally thought of grey tights with it, then decided I needed more colour.
Are coloured tights coming back? Were they ever gone?

Who knows!
I walked to/from work like this, shoes and all. I prefer my outerwear to complement my outfit.

Accoutrements:
Deja scarf!
  • Scarf - MetroWear, San Francisco, 2006
  • Hat - gift from Tammy
  • Brooch - Monet, thrifted
  • Gloves - Parkhurst; purchased here for $24.95

The gloves were perfect, as I knew they would be.

The stuff:
Shoes I wouldn't mind getting scuffed up while doing said desk clambering. I also walked home in the rain in them.

Bold bling:
I liked the heft of the blue necklace, although it likes to twist around a bit.

  • Acrylic necklace - consignment
  • Studded leather cuff - c. 1997
  • Leather cuff - Guess, thrifted
  • Silver earrings - Israeli, consignment
  • Silver/onyx ring - Tocara, vintage fair
  • Lapis lazuli ring - Wendy Brandes

More bits of blue.
