Monday Reds, Warhol Boots and Kittens

Welcome back, my friends! It came as a relief to just have a regular November day, no themes.
I didn't have the energy be super-creative with my outfit, so I just threw on this new-to-me Jammy Dress.

  • Wool dress - Ports International, vintage 90s, thrifted; purchased here for $19.95
  • Boots - F-Trip Warhol, Fluevog; last worn here in May with my summer version of a red dress
  • Coat (below) - L'Atiste, consignment, Vancouver; last seen here in June

I freshly blued my hair on Sunday - it will fade out a lot in the next few days.
I adored this amazing wool dress - I layered a vintage camisole under it, as well as wee shorts.

Incognito.
I was chilled on the way home - it's been clear and cold. I might need to get out some thicker coats.

Accoutrements:
The scarf was snuggly warm.

  • Puffer scarf - Marimekko X Uniqlo, consignment
  • Wool beret - consignment
  • Fur brooch - thrifted
  • Leather gloves - Echo, consignment

The stuff:
My colleagues loved that the boots matched the necklace/earring set. Me too!

Bold bling:
I need to wear this tri-colour set more, but it's tricky to style.

  • Gold hinged bangle - thrifted
  • Eelskin hinged bangle - vintage 80s, thrifted
  • Brass ring - vintage 70s, vintage mall
  • Wooden Klimt ring - consignment
  • Stone ring - thrifted
  • Necklace/earrings - Robert Lee Morris, consignment, Vancouver

More pictures for you!

  3. Aren't jammy dresses made for days like these?
The red wool dress is simple but effective, particularly with those stunning boots.
I'm also loving the puffer scarf! And the kitten photos, obviously! xxx

  4. The boots are so cool, I love the 1960s Space Age vibe.
Laughing at the kitten burrito and Barnabas fascinated by the washing machine. William had a boxing match with his reflexion in the mirror over the weekend, he's convinced there's an idenical black cat living in our bedroom! xxx

    1. Yes, very Warhol, their namesake!
They are endlessly amusing. How funny about William! Who is that other cat? ha!

  5. Shiela, I have a very similar red dress. I think I recently posted some photos of it on my blog too.

Aren't your kitten burritos precious? X

  6. RED! Definitely a super dress and a color made for chasing away the blues and the cold and the dark! The Uniqlo scarf speaks to me partially for the color and pattern but more so because a puffer scarf is something I haven't seen before and it makes me think of down vests, which make me think of cozy snuggling warmth. Mmm...
Barnabas finds the most amusing ways to entertain himself and Whateley is a super snuggle puff! Wasn't there a Sesame Street character along those lines, or at least with a name that sounded liked snuggling? Snuffleupagus or something like that?
    Cheers, Laurie

    1. It's a glorious dress, and you know I can't resist a Marimekko pattern - I only have a few (3?4?) puffer pieces, but I do love them.
      Ha, yes, Snuffleupagus is correct!
