Purple and Green Wallpaper

Back to work! It was a busy day, full of people and things that Needed To Be Done. I armoured up in this awesome pattern.
No suspense, I will not be keeping this blazer. The quality is...well, not great.

  • Blazer - Zara, consignment; purchased here for $32.00
  • T-shirt - Cynthia Rowley, thrifted; last seen here (3rd outfit) in July under a vintage dress
  • Wool skirt - Diane Von Furstenberg, thrifted; last worn here in October 2024 with Gaultier and leopard
  • Shoes - Half Truth Tanya, Fluevog; last seen here in August with lime

I knew it wouldn't last long in my closet, but it just isn't good enough quality for me to keep it longer than one wearing. The pattern does not save it (unlike the Murder Mystery Dress).
But that's okay! Better to know right away! I did enjoy stroking the lovely wool knit of the skirt - it was quite a tactile contrast to the slippy polyester of the jacket.

These green and purpley-pink colours are hard to style. I think I'd rather have this as wallpaper than a blazer.
Maybe a cushion? I like the green border.

Incognito.
I did note that it went with my scarf, which is also hard to match (too many colours).

Accoutrements:
But the scarf is silk, with hand-rolled edges and is by Yves Saint Laurent. Big difference.

  • Silk scarf - Yves Saint Laurent, vintage 70s, thrifted
  • Belt - Banana Republic, thrifted

The stuff:
Easy shoes for running around in the office, up and down stairs many times.

Gold coin bling:
I've had the flat bracelet, the coin earrings (converted from clip by me) and the coin necklace since 1984.

  • Cuff bracelet - vintage 70s, Mom's
  • Gold bangle - thrifted
  • Glass bangle - thrifted
  • Scarab ring - Heidi Daus, consignment, gift from L
  • Gold/amethyst ring - Francis Jewelers, c. 1965, Dad's
  • Coin earrings - vintage 70s, Mom's
  • Chain/coin necklace - vintage 80s, gift from Mom & Dad

The jingling of the coins took me right back to high school!
