Regret-Me-Not Agnes, Sporty Spots and Copper Bits

Hello, my friends! Miss me? I missed you too. L and I spent a couple of days just being chill together and spending time helping each other deal with the sadness of not having our wee family member around.

I played around in my closet, giving myself some creative time to distract my brain.
I'd rashly put this chartreuse cardigan in the Limbo pile when I did my closet swap-over. What was I thinking? I tore through the bags, and grabbed it back. Regret-me-not!

  • Cotton fleece cardigan - Agnes B, thrifted; last worn here (3rd outfit) in October 2024 with tweed and sneakers
  • Tee - Marimekko X Uniqlo, thrifted; last seen here in June 2024 for the Annual Day of Indolence
  • Skirt - Club Monaco, vintage 90s, thrifted; purchased here for $10.99
  • Shoes - Vogettes Misty, Fluevog; purchased here for $249.00
  • Leather coat (below) - Eileen Fisher, thrifted; last worn here in September 2024

I had to style it again right away to apologize for my egregious cull. It was so lovely and soft and such a good colour.
I loved this new-to-me Club Monaco skirt. It's not quite an A+ skirt (no pockets), but it's close! Comfy waist, beautiful drape, slinky lining.

The bold Marimekko print was the last piece that I pulled - I held up a few different tops to see what looked best.
The spots gave a good sporty vibe that appealed to me.

Yes, I did just colour my hair - hair is armour too!
I like the bits of the tee peeking out at the hem and the collar.

I didn't take the cardigan off, but I could have just worn this.
We're getting warmer weather finally, but it's not THAT warm.

I'm not sure why I grabbed this brown leather jacket, but I rather like the mix.
I snapped the cardigan up when I had my coat on.

Accoutrements:
More spots. I did not need these on the way home.

  • Silk scarf - consignment
  • Leather gloves - consignment

The stuff:
I had over 100 emails to get through, so I didn't do a lot of walking around the office, but these new flats were excellent for the day.

Copper bling:
I really liked how the copper "woke up" the neutrals and contrasted with the chartreuse.

  • Copper ball cuff - vintage 60s, vintage expo
  • Copper necklace - Renoir, vintage 50s, vintage fair
  • Copper clip-on earrings - thrifted
  • Copper ball ring - consignment
  • Copper bracelet - Renoir, vintage 50s, thrifted
  • Hematite ring - thrifted

One more day and I'm off for another 5 days, woo!

  2. What were you thinking indeed! That cardigan is the perfect shape and the most gorgeous shade of chartreuse. Swooning over the Marimekko top!
I'm joining you in taking the next 5 days off, by the way. Enjoy your time off! xxx

  3. Love love love all the copper bling! Wow, what a collection/selection of pieces. Am sooo glad you retrieved the chartreuse cropped cardigan – it's a perfect length and fit, and gives 'umph' to whatever it is paired with, playing especially well with the Marimekko large dots. I'm with you on the brown jacket, it meshes nicely with the sweater and dotted top; yay for brown as a neutral.
Enjoy your upcoming 5 days of R&R or whatever you and L have cooked up!
    Cheers, Laurie

    1. Thank you so much, Laurie! I love having these pieces back in my "wardrobe." I know, I am not even sure why I took it out of my closet! It's awesome!
It'll be a nice quiet weekend, enjoying the company of my friends (there might even be a party in there!). Happy Easter to you and Fred!

  4. Love the copper shoes. Years ago I had copper ballet flats and they were do versatile. Ones without the bows, not my thing so much. The skirt looks good. The shape of the tee works perfectly with it. Hugs Lise

    1. I have missed my old copper heels, Lise! It's such a good neutral metallic for me. I hear you on the bows, no thank you. :) Thank you so much!

  5. I have loved Marimekko since Banana Republic did a collaboration with them years ago. But, I’ve never had any. This tee is just perfect with your regret me not cardi! I actually thought, “What? No jewelry?” until I got to farther down. Then, I scrolled up, and there it was! This is such a beautiful look! And, the copper shoes pull it all together!
