Surrealist Monday in Bronze, Black and Dali

It was a rough Monday - I kinda need another weekend to recover from the last one. I was hugely busy, and it all felt a little surreal.
Of course, a Jammy Dress is going to help me see it through. This high-necked wool-blend black one is a beauty.

  • Leather jacket - Burberry, consignment, Vancouver; last worn here in December 2024 for a Mom-Day Adventure
  • Dress - Spanner, vintage 90s, thrifted; last seen here in February 2024 for our trip to Powell River
  • Shoes - Dali Signature, Fluevog; first worn here in June 2024 with gold pleats and red linen
  • Mink coat (below) - no label, vintage 60s, thrifted; last seen here a week ago

I added my patent leather bronze Burberry jacket over it for warmth, and for the loud sticky noises it makes, which make me giggle.
I have sparkly bronze tights on too. I liked the shimmer!

You can see the asymmetrical shape of the hem and the side slit here.
My vintage black slip is hanging out there - I'm so classy.

I really wanted to show off this outfit to my colleagues.
Thank goodness for all of you. I hope it is quieter tomorrow!

Without the jacket. This classic 90s shape is good on me, and I always feel fabulous when I wear this awesome dress.
But I know you are just staring at the shoes.

Minked up.
Another COLD day.

Accoutrements:
I liked the pink and orange together.

  • Toque - gift from Tammy
  • Brooch - Monet, vintage 80s, thrifted
  • Cashmere scarf - Portolano, thrifted
  • Leather gloves - consignment

The stuff:
My feet are fine after a day in these...because I barely walked anywhere! I'm doing bits of pink all this week as a reminder to love myself first on this V-Day week.

Brass bling:
I love my big ball necklace.

  • Earrings - vintage 70s, vintage mall
  • Necklace - consignment
  • Brass leopard ring - thrifted
  • Brass/glass ring - Raphael of Canada, vintage 70s, consignment

  1. Great dress, such a good cut. The unexpected shoes are genius. Have to comment on the jacket, even if I have seen it before - just WOW! Please never send it off to limbo :) If I remember correctly you had such thoughts at some point. Lise
