Funky Friday: Teal, Olive and Copper, and Ready For Limbo

Hello, Gentle Readers! A bonus Friday post for you, with my work outfit and pictures from my Limbo Closet Sale set-up. 

I did a test-drive of the dress, and futzed around with my outfit until I was happy. 

• Pleats dress - no label, thrifted; purchased here for $50.00
• Cropped top - Sun Kim, thrifted; last seen here (2nd outfit) in March for a Saturday brunch
• Shoes - Misty Vogettes, Fluevog; last worn here in March with my anniversary outfit revisit
• Jacket - Theyskens Theory, RTW Fall 2011, thrifted; last seen here (2nd outfit) in May 2025 for another brunch look

I've got to do that more often - I like my outfits better when I take the time to play in my closet. 

Anyway, the new dress! There were a bunch of these in different colours and I went with this one due to the shape of the skirt and the V neck.

I'll mostly be layering pieces under it and over it so that I can play with the skirt. This olive cropped top has a wired neck and is longer in the back, so it stands out from the skirt. 

I liked how the olive worked with the teal blue. 

See? Big skirt, funny shape. It was awesome to wear all day...if only it had pockets! 

Incognito. I really liked this jacket over it - it's a gorgeous piece by Belgian designer Oliver Theyskens from when he designed for Theory. 

It's leather (the tie), linen and silk, and it provided two giant pockets - very handy for walking to and from work.

Not that I got up much from my desk - it was a busy day! - but these are super-comfy shoes.

I stacked two bracelets per wrist! Lots of armour.

I have to always give my Necklace Twin Vix a shout-out! Amazing, one in Victoria, Canada, and one in Walsall, UK! 

Before we get into the Limbo preparation, a hilarious picture of Barnabas chilling under the coffee table.

He just lay there, legs splayed, Whateley unimpressed in the background.

I cancelled Mom-Day as there's no way I could get all this done on Saturday and still have some time to spend with L. 

I assembled all of my pricing tags, pens, a stapler, scissors, and of course, a cup of tea. 

My Limbo pile lives in our den, behind the giant bookcase. I pulled out a few bags at a time and started sorting the newest additions and deciding how to set things up now that we have two kittens to account for.

They were very good while I did this - it took around 5 hours! - and played a little bit around the piles, and rustled around in this bag for a while. 

"We're helping you."      "I want to go in the bag again!"

I kept anything too tempting out of the way. 

I pulled out my signs - no need to change anything, as these worked well. 

Most people pay by eTransfer. 

I last had a Closet Sale back here in February 2025, and the pop-up at Botched last fall (here) - if you click through to the Feb sale, you'll see I had four regret-me-nots...all of which are gone again! I sold the skants at the pop-up. 

And yet, I still pulled two things out this time. 

This Gilmour leopard top is a brighter mix than my Dolce & Gabbana one, and it was rash of me to turf it. I last wore it here in January 2025.

I also still really love this dragonscale skirt by Strawberry Jill, last seen here also in January 2025.

It's almost a maxi length and oh my gosh...

Look at the colours! Iridescent pinks, greens and reds. 

I had to keep it! 

When I was done, I went looking for the kitties. 

Whateley is exhausted by it all. 

And so is Barnabas! 

He's fully crashed.
