Wooly Bell and Orange Angels

We had an all-day health check clinic at the office today, so I dressed for the occasion.
If you guessed armour, ten points for you!

  • Vest - Religion, consignment; last seen here layered here in December 2024 with sporty sequins
  • Mesh bodysuit - Nylon Apparel, consignment; first worn here in October 2024 with my NAS (not-a-skirt)
  • Skirt - Kokomarina, thrifted; first seen here in December 2024 with purple popcorn
  • Shoes - Mission Monica, Fluevog; last worn here in December 2023 with orange armour
  • Suede coat (below) - Danier Leather, consignment; last seen here in February

I built the outfit around the shoes and I'm shocked it's been over a year since I last wore them! Where does the time go?
I was looking for this vest last week to wear to Vancouver instead of the acid-wash one, and I ripped my closet apart looking for it. I finally gave up but last night there it was, staring me in the face. Sigh.

I wanted to wear this lovely wooly bell-shaped skirt again before it gets packed away for the season. It's so soft and cozy.
The black bits are different fabric, a thick stretchy business. It's an amazing skirt to wear - utterly comfortable, doesn't restrict walking or sitting, no wrangling needed. If only it had pockets.

Of course the vest is awesome - it's by Religion, but it feels like it's been reworked from a men's suit jacket.
There's an inside pocket and it has five in total. See? Probably former menswear.

I liked how my sheer cow-print mesh bodysuit looked with the outfit.
I didn't take the vest off, not even when I got weighed at my own appointment. The nurse said I was a rock star!

Lovely orange suede - this has been a winner this season among my coats.
I hopped the bus home with a flat of Vizzini's cat food.

Accoutrements:
So classy.

  • Silk scarf - fake Louis (Lewis!) Vuitton, thrifted
  • Toque - gift from Tammy
  • Brooch - Monet, vintage 80s, thrifted
  • Velour gloves - Thinsulate, thrifted

The stuff:
These orange shoes are a high degree of difficulty for clothes, but not accessories. I love how my Brutalist stuff looks with them. Aw, love the angels.

Brutalist bling:
I haven't worn my Shi Studio leather belt in ages!

  • Belt - Shi Studio
  • Belt buckle - Shi Studio, thrifted
  • Necklace/bracelets - Robert Larin, vintage 70s, vintage mall, all gifts from L
  • Volcano ring - vintage 70s, Mom's
  • Hematite ring - thrifted
  • Brutalist ring - thrifted
  • Brutalist earrings - vintage mall
