There's That Rainbow

This is the outfit I'd planned to wear for the rainbow theme. I attended a colleague's retirement send-off after work, so gave him a big eyeful of colour. I'm gonna miss you, Gary!
Every part of my outfit had fans today: the skirt is always well loved, the sequined popcorn top is so sparkly, and of course, yellow boots!

  • Sequined sweater - Forever 21 Girls, thrifted; last worn here in January for a Mom-Day at Blenkinsop Lake
  • Skirt - J. Crew, consignment; last seen here exactly a year ago in July 2025's Rainbow Day
  • Boots - F-Trip Etta, Fluevog; last worn here in April with grey and daisies

I had a lot of help with my pictures in the morning...
He's a blur, but that's Whateley, weaving in and out of my legs, going under my skirt.

See?
"Who are you talking to?"

Then he lunged at my face and gave me a big "kiss."
He's very affectionate!

Incognito.
I caught the bus home after work. Rainbow Pirate, ahoy!

More cuddles were needed before I left the house in the morning.
I don't want to go either, bud.

And then he got me again!
When he snuggles, he does it HARD.

The stuff:
Also helping after work, when I take my accessories pictures.

  • Silk scarf - Fluevog

Bright bling:
The outfit didn't need much with all that colour!

  • Cuff - thrifted
  • Carved cinnabar bangle - consignment
  • Wooden clip earrings - vintage expo
  • Silver/aventurine ring - consignment
  • Lucite/steel ring - Calvin Klein, thrifted

I picked up my other pair of Fluevogs after work as well.
These are called the Sea Maidens Kelpies (I LOVE that name), link here 'cause I love, and they are on sale for $199.99. As noted when I bought my clogs on the weekend, I spent $92 of my own money split between the two pairs, after gift cards.

Due to the pointy toe, I sized up from my regular 9.5/40 to a size 10. I also tightened the strap over the vamp one hole (I have skinny feet).
The little blue bit at the heel is softer than the rest of the shoe - it's a treat not to have a hard heel cutting into my foot. These were comfy on my bare feet!

Nice rubber soles.
These are (sigh) likely the upgrade to my very thrashed Karl Lagerfeld yellow ballet flats. You don't see comfy yellow flats very often.

And now, I'm going to be back on Thursday (which will not be a Mom-Day, due to some work being done on our building), as tomorrow night, I'm going to the theatre with my pals!

Leaving you with the boys flopped on the tile under the benches on the deck.
Whateley under one...

Barnabas under the other.
It's nice and cool under there.

See you in a couple of days!
