Blue Robe, Patchwork Roses and Rehomed Turquoise

Woo! Tomorrow is Canada Day and then Thursday is my day off. Two days in a row in the middle of the week - how decadent.
I decided to go bold and paired up this new-to-me blue drapey robe with my DVF patchwork dress.

  • Wool/silk dress - Diane Von Furstenberg, thrifted; last seen here in June 2025 with blue shoes
  • Dragon kimono topper - Golden Bee, thrifted; purchased here for $14.95
  • Shoes - Prepare Guide, Fluevog; last worn here (3rd outfit) in May for Mack's birthday party (I was a jellyfish!)

I loved having two extra pockets, although the robe fabric is very delicate, so nothing heavy in them.
I actually discovered several areas of the neckline edging where it was separating from the robe - I whipped out my needle and thread and sewed them all up.

I loved the loose swooshy fit of it.
Whateley is intrigued.

And the dragon matches the dress!
I loved all this colour - it made me happy.

It's such a great dress. I love all the giant cabbage roses on it, and it has pockets.
This is my third time wearing it - I have worn it with these shoes before. I deliberated keeping it out for fall/winter layering last year and I'll have to consider that again - I do prefer short skirts with tights.

Incognito.
It was chilly enough to need a scarf! Brr! Thankfully it was sunny on the way home, but still not exactly hot.

The stuff:
Bugs to go with all those roses!

  • Silk bug scarf - Smoking Lily, 1997, gift from Janet

Turquoise bling:
A good mix. The ear-balls are awesome.

  • Brass/pearl/turquoise/crystal cuff - Myka, consignment
  • Turquoise stone bracelet - thrifted, Sidney
  • Big silver/turquoise ring - consignment
  • Silver/turquoise thumb ring - consignment
  • Gold-tone/turquoise ring - consignment
  • Ear-balls - Sziska, thrifted, Sidney
  • Turquoise stone necklace (not shown) - vintage mall, gift from L

You might have noticed something missing in the bling picture...
My gorgeous colleague Angie admired my chunky turquoise necklace. I was feeling "meh" about it, and she LOVED it...better to someone who really loves it, right? I'm happy it's gone to a good home.

And lastly, before I take a small break, Whateley would like to challenge Barnabas for sexy kitty.
HA! What a silly boy.

I'll be back on Thursday after Mom-Day - Happy Canada Day!
