I picked an outfit I could work all day in and then walk to/from the theatre.
- Silk blazer - Alfred Sung, vintage 80s, thrifted; last seen here in July with a painty skirt
- Wool sweater - Gap, thrifted NWT; purchased here for $34.95
- Silk skirt - Strawberry Jill, thrifted; last worn here in February with a Velvet Rage blazer (let go of that one, kept this one)
- Leather boots - Aldo, thrifted; last seen here (2nd outfit) in October for a visit to the HCP with Mom
- Wool cape (below) - Dafydd Snowden, Welsh, vintage 70s, thrifted; last worn here in May
I left a few of my pictures uncropped, just because.
My actual view of the Castle - the eaves of the enclosed stairwell where I do my Stair Pics, and the roof of the apartment building across from it.
I had some photo-bombing action from Barnabas today.
"I hear beeping!"
I scooped him up for a quick cuddle.
My cape is ready to be donned.
So, yes, the outfit! This oversized 80s silk mustard blazer returns, paired up with my "scales" skirt.
I'd thought of wearing a fancier heeled boot, but then I'd have to carry them to work and home again, and I can't walk all the way to the theatre in heels. Scrap that!
Finally wearing this plummy-brown merino wool sweater that I thrifted new-with-tags in the summer.
It matched the browny silk circles well. I never took the blazer off, however. The stuff:
I didn't take my boots off until I got home, so they're not in the pictures. Randall complained about my gold tree brooches. "Too soon!"

- Purse - Ted Lapidus, vintage 90s, vintage fair
- Silk scarf - vintage, thrifted
- Wool beret - Parkhurst, vintage, thrifted
- Leather/fur gloves - Thinsulate, thrifted
- Small tree pin - Avon, can't remember
- Large tree pin - Keyes, gift from Ev
It was a production each time I took off my cape and gear.
Brass bling:
I hooked the necklace shorter than it's meant to be so that it sat at a better spot.

- Brass spiky cuff - Midzo, vintage expo
- Brass/leather etched cuff - vintage 70s, Mom's
- Brass rings - vintage mall
- Bronze ring - P. Sarpaneva, vintage expo
- Stone ring - thrifted
- Earrings - consignment
- Brass/glass necklace - Rafael of Canada, vintage 70s, consignment
Only one cat picture - I wasn't home to take more!
Whateley looking on as Barnabas digs into my bags. Little monkeys! And lastly, much love to my Theatre Buddies! From left: me, Nancy, Cat, Yvonne, Randall, Rosanna, Caro and Greg. I enjoyed the play (link here, 'cause I love), and left feeling sad, but uplifted.
