Double-Duty Delayed Star Wars Day

You may have assumed that all of my socializing was done, now that the weekend is in the rearview mirror, but nooooo...I had Belfry Theatre in the evening.
I wore the same thing that I wore to work - I just could not face changing and trying to do photos and then blogging when I got home at 10pm.

  • Wool long cardigan - Ports, vintage 80s, consignment; last seen here in January with lime
  • Silk top - Rag & Bone, thrifted; last worn here (3rd outfit) in April 2024 with these same shoes!
  • Pants - Akris Punto, consignment; last seen here in April 2024 with cobalt (that's the top Camille was wearing the other day)
  • Shoes - "I Know" Irregular Choice Star Wars collection; last worn here in October 2024 in an "all the space shows" outfit

As I missed May 4th - it was on Sunday and I was busy being Legally Blonde! - my May the Fourth (be with you) aka "Star Wars Day" outfit happened today instead.
I started with the shoes (Han and Leia!), pulling this lovely wool long cardigan out and establishing a blue theme.

I added the silk tee, black and white pants. Things just started to come together.
And of course, I had to add one of my new pairs of socks for a little something extra.

This cardigan was perfect as my outerwear for walking to work.
I had to dash home by bus to make it to the pub for dinner.

Without the cardigan, only taken off when I first arrived at the office.
I'd forgotten about this silk tee - a Rag & Bone "store exclusive."

Incognito.
My long-time favourite blue leopard scarf makes an appearance.

I grabbed a purse when I got home as I didn't want to carry a backpack in the theatre.
We saw "If You Could Read My Mind: The Songs of Gordon Lightfoot," a world debut production at the Belfry. If you grew up in Canada, you know Gord's songs! (And if you don't, here's his YouTube channel, enjoy).

Accoutrements and stuff:
It's the debut of the purse Linda made for me from the 50th anniversary Fluevog shopping bags. I loved using it, and it matched the outfit so well.

  • Scarf - thrifted
  • Purse - made for me by Linda! Received here (way down at the bottom)

Bold bling:
I missed wearing a necklace but didn't have time to paw through them in the morning.

  • Lucite/silver bracelet - Alexis Bittar, consignment, Vancouver
  • Silver chain earrings - consignment
  • Turquoise/stone bracelet - thrifted, Sidney; purchased here for $8.00
  • Bangle - vintage, thrifted
  • Fulvia Ring/lapis lazuli ring - Wendy Brandes
  • Silver/kyanite ring - consignment

I loved the weight of the new-to-me stone "turquoise" cuff. Winner! And now, off to bed.

  1. You had an extended weekend! (Kind of :)) I love when you wear bold vivid colors, especially blues! The “Linda” purse is spot on for color combo and size, particularly for an evening outing. Yay for the shoes and socks, the pairing guarantees foot interest. Black plaid is a perfect partner to blue (or probably any bright color?) Can you tell I’m a fan of this outfit, including accessories? ;)
We didn’t make it to the museum so it’s on the calendar for another day. Instead I tended to some fun projects with pending deadlines (home made birthday cards) and some business (phone calls). Satisfying though not in the same way as walking in a museum. ;)
    Cheers, Laurie

  2. Oh, a Gordon Lightfoot jukebox musical FINALLY! I hope this comes to the US someday. Love him.

You look like a million dollars—hope you had a wonderful time. Those very saturated blues are magical on you.

    1. It was a little rough - hopefully it will get polished - but it's been the most sold-out show in the theatre's history, so fingers crossed it'll go international.
      Aw, thanks so much, Julia!

  3. I know Gordon Lightfoot! Some of his songs, including If I Could Read My Mind, made it to the Belgian charts back in the day.
Your double duty outfit is gorgeous! I'm loving those black and white pants and the blue long cardigan works perfectly as outerwear. Linda's purse is lovely too, as is that turquoise stone bracelet! xxx
