Satin St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Paddy's Day, whatever that means (or not) to you! Wear green, rah rah.
I need no excuse to wear this gorgeous silk satin coat-dress!

  • Cow-patterned bodysuit - Nylon Apparel, consignment; last worn here in August 2025 for a mosey out to Mosi with L
  • Silk satin coat-dress - Escada by Margaretha Ley, consignment; last seen here in March 2025 with black accoutrements
  • Shoes - Big Presence Desmond, Fluevog, consignment; last worn here (3rd outfit) in February for a party
  • Coat (below) - C&A Golden Gate Collection, vintage 80s, thrifted; last seen here in January

It just seemed like a good idea. Plus I love this dress!
This time, I played with a grey/white speckle match with the vibrant colour. This is actually a Jammy Dress, despite its swanky appearance.

It looks great, it's totally comfy to wear.
It has two big pockets and goes with tons of stuff. I've worn it 8 times in 6 years, every time different.

Oops, left the wrong setting on the camera.
Let's pretend I'm a silent movie star. This coat was too warm - this weather is hard to dress for!

The stuff:
These shoes still work for me - my colleague Amanda admired them.

  • Beret - thrifted
  • Gloves - vintage, thrifted

Brassy bling:
I started with the belt, a longtime favourite.

  • Belt - Pringle of Scotland, vintage fair; last worn here in October 2025
  • Lucite/gold bangle - Alexis Bittar, consignment, gift from L
  • Leather cuff - thrifted
  • Brass leopard ring - thrifted
  • Brass ring - vintage mall
  • Earrings - Chan Luu, consignment
  • Necklace - Anne Klein, vintage 80s, Grandma J's

The boys have been camera-shy lately.
"We want the window open."      "I love the deck!"

The warmer weather and all the birds chirping have them intrigued. Our windows look out on trees - it's Cat TV! It's not quite deck weather, but soon!

  1. Happy St. Patrick's Day! Your coat is too warm, and here we woke up to a winter wonderland, and a forecast of -17°C tonight. Those shoes are cute, with a quirky heel.
