Blue Swoosh and a Puffer, Plus Cats

No worries about a lack of kittens in this post - they photobombed me this morning!
The grey blur you see around my shoes is Whateley; there's Barnabas in the background wondering what the beeping is.

  • Merino wool sweater - Lord & Taylor, consignment; last seen here (2nd outfit) in November with plaid and a tux hoodie for brunch
  • Dress - Uniqlo X C: Clare Waight Keller, thrifted; first worn here in September with Marimekko
  • Boots - Original Sabado, Fluevog; last seen here in November with houndstooth and the Eiffel Tower
  • Puffer coat (below) - Donna Karan, consignment; last worn here in March

For my Tuesday (Christmas Eve Eve!) outfit, I chose an easy pleated swooshy dress that I'd only worn once.
I layered my cerulean blue wool sweater under it (I had vintage cami/slip action going on underneath to stave off the itch), then just matched everything else. Easy peasy!

If you're going to lurk around, expect to get grabbed.
Can't keep still - his face is a blur!

Puffer coat! It was totally dry today, and much colder. Not a drop of rain!
I will only do down-filled puffers, as they are so light and snug to wear.

The stuff:
All the blue! I walked to and from work in my boots.

  • Scarf - Vera, vintage 80s, Mom's
  • Angora beret - Parkhurst, thrifted
  • Star pin - consignment
  • Gloves - thrifted

Alien bling:
The necklace is looking at you...

  • Necklace - All Saints, gift from Dominique
  • Lucite/silver bracelet - Alexis Bittar, consignment, Vancouver
  • Carved jadeite bangle - consignment
  • Fulvia ring (aquamarine and silver) - Wendy Brandes
  • Silver/crystal ring - Soul Flower
  • Silver earrings - consignment

Kitty time! I caught Barnabas grabbing the Santa hat off poor Smaug the gargoyle.
"So this is...Santa?"             "It's a ball!"

Whateley had to investigate.
"And this part goes on the head...I see..."             "And this is a ball!"

They settled down for a snooze with L while we watched TV.
He is the preferred sleeping area, not me. Boo...

On the plus side, my wonderful VPs gave me a gift card from Fluevog for Christmas.
"They know you there!" said one. Hee hee, they do...I feel like some new shoes are in my future!

  1. Nice swoosh skirt, perfect for Whateley to prance around and investigate. Do those two rascals plan to respect the Santa hat? I'm not sure I'd trust them to keep the pompom intact.
I have to ask, how do you get in and out of those marvellous boots? Do they have a discreet zipper on the inside of the leg?
I hope you and L, and B and W have a fabulous Christmas!

    You look so lovely.
Your cats are adorable. They add to the Christmas vibe, playing with that Santa's heat. I'm sure you'll remember your first Christmas with them. I wish you and everyone you hold dear all the best, dear Sheila. Happy holidays! Merry Christmas!
