Picture Fail: Mustard Battle and Red Leopard

Well, I have no explanation for what happened to my pictures today. I uploaded them, edited them, and as I attempted to upload them, all of them disappeared, leaving me with nothing but these three thumbnail shortcut images. They're not in another folder, not in the trash, not anywhere.
My friends, you will have to use your imagination (and click through the links below if you don't remember), because I am not getting dressed again. The thought of it is exhausting.

  • Silk blazer - Alfred Sung, vintage 80s, thrifted; purchased here for $34.95
  • Sleeveless turtleneck - Contemporaine, thrifted; last worn here (3rd outfit) with purple tigers earlier this month
  • Skirt - Esqualo; last seen here in October 2024 with velvet skulls
  • Shoes - Seychelles, consignment; last worn here (2nd outfit) in August 2024 with tulle and plaid
  • Sleeveless coat - Only, thrifted; last seen here earlier this month

Actually, you can still get a pretty good idea of how this outfit looked, proportion-wise, even if none of the details are visible. I liked the new silk Alfred Sung blazer - the sleeves did not like staying rolled up, and the weight of three small brooches was a bit too much. It's definitely an upgrade to my velvet mustard blazer, so that one's off to Limbo.

The black top is sleeveless and the skirt is a bias-cut red/mustard/black leopard swooshy one.

I wore my sleeveless black coat with another brooch on the lapel and sunglasses.
  • Brass brooch - Monet, thrifted, Sidney
  • Silk scarf - Ralph Lauren, thrifted
  • Leather gloves - Echo, consignment
And a red floral fringed scarf and long red leather gloves.

My shoes are the black "fisherman" style, popular every few years. They were lovely to wear again, very comfy.
  • Brass/amber/sandalwood choker - vintage 70s, Mom's
  • Leather studded wrist-wrap - Kipling, thrifted
  • Cinnabar bangle - consignment
  • Wooden Klimt ring - consignment
  • Wooden ring - Dots
  • Gold hoop earrings - 5th anniversary gift from L
  • Salamander brooch - gift from Cat
  • Wooden cat brooch - consignment
  • Bee brooch - gift from Megan G.

I wore my Mom's vintage circle choker, and as noted, a cluster of brooches on the blazer.

Better luck tomorrow!

  1. Oh no, I hate technical issues! As I don't trust technology one single bit, I always keep my photos on my phone and/or camera after uploading/editing, until I've actually used them for my blog and/or saved them on my external hard drive. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the issue sorts itself out! xxx

    1. Well, I had successfully uploaded and edited, so I thought I was okay to go! And in the 4,000 posts I've done, this has never happened, so I'm putting it down to a glitch and letting it go.
Thank you for your sympathy, my dear.

  3. Tech has a mind of its own… ;)
Because it’s a longer blazer and made of silk (yay silk!) I’m wondering if it could be belted? I’m seeing it with skinny pants, belted or unbelted. I enjoy when your clothing get me imagining ways to style pieces, it’s a satisfying mental exercise!
Here’s to the tech behaving for your next post!
    Cheers, Laurie

    1. It does!
I like the idea of belting it, Laurie, good idea! I need to play around with it a big more. I have a couple more skirts that would work with it, and will try that out.
