Sequins Galore, and Pink, Grey and Gold

Another round of meetings in the office today, so I decided to dazzle our guests - with sequins!
I knew that this cardigan would work well in my wardrobe. If it goes with the pink shirt, it's a winner!

  • Sequined cardigan - Zara, consignment; purchased here for $69.99
  • Top - Denver Hayes, consignment; last worn here in July with palazzo pants and a bustier
  • Skirt - Oska, consignment; last seen here in April with my "dinosaur" bomber jacket
  • Shoes - Super Fine Cardinal, Fluevog; last worn here in July with a dark floral jumpsuit

The sleeveless top kept the cardigan from being overly warm. It's still a little too summery for something this thick, but I really wanted to wear it.
I was happy that the sequins didn't snag on each other - it was also not prickly, and the pockets were a useful size, if not in a useful position for jamming one's hands into them.

Winner!
The warm tone of the skirt emphasized the gold edging on the cardigan, and pushed me towards gold accessories.

I overheated multiple times so I made sure that my non-sequins-galore outfit was also good to go.
I really love this perma-crinkled skirt - it rustles when I walk, and it billows when I walk down stairs.

Incognito.
I'm excited to style up this cardigan for fall - it has so much potential.

The stuff:
People love these shoes - they are very broken in now, and very comfy.

  • Belt - Deborah Marinoff, Charmant, vintage 70s, thrifted

I grabbed the belt at the last minute, in the morning.

Gold bling:
I love using the little collar points. It's just such a nice detail.

  • Silver/amethyst ring - vintage mall
  • Gold/amethyst ring - Frances Jewelers, c. 1965, Dad's
  • Collar-points - vintage, consignment
  • Necklace - Givenchy, vintage 80s, vintage fair
  • Clip-on crystal earrings - Weiss, vintage 50s, vintage fair
