Rockstar in Mixed Leopard, Pierre and Croc

I felt very rock and roll in this outfit.
I really loved the jolt of colour and pattern and texture - and shine!

  • Denim blazer - Smashed Lemon; last worn here as part of my suit for a trip to Vancouver in March
  • Silk blouse - Pierre Cardin, vintage 70s, consignment; purchased here for $38.00
  • Trousers - FRNCH, thrifted; last seen here in February with my Ferries blazer
  • Boots - Powerhouse Jyoti, Fluevog; last worn here (3rd outfit) in December 2024 with a vintage skirt and Weird Adidas

We had temps up to 18 today. Practically tropical!
A lovely view of the Castle.

I built the outfit around the blouse, which I knew I wanted to style in a rockstar way.
I layered a vintage red lace camisole under it, undid the buttons and let the ties flap around.

The sleeves on the blouse are very short, and have very tight cuffs. Solution?
Don't do them up! I flipped the blazer cuff once, shoved it up, then folded the blouse cuff over that. It worked great!

I like wearing my red denim leopard suit together, but every so often I wear the pieces separately.
The matching pants would have been too much. I needed black to ground things.

Showing my chain belt and the ties.
Colleague Camille admired the woven "Pierre Cardin" in the silk.

Without the jacket, although I didn't take it off.
I love the big pockets in these croc-embossed pants.

Incognito in the spring version of outerwear.
A scarf and gloves that I ended up carrying home.

Accoutrements:
The role of my scarves is starting to shift from Keeping Her Warm to Blocking the Sun.

  • Silk scarf - fake Louis (Lewis!) Vuitton, thrifted
  • Leather gloves - Picabo, Powell River

The stuff:
Fancy shoes for the office.

Golden bling:
This is my other chain belt that originally belonged to Mom, "liberated" in the mid-80s from her closet when I was a teen.

  • Plastic/metal chain belt - vintage 70s, Mom's
  • Brooch - Monet, thrifted, Sidney; purchased here for $8.00
  • Pearl necklace - thrifted
  • Hinged bangle - thrifted
  • Eelskin hinged bracelet - vintage 80s, thrifted
  • Silver/crystal ring - Uffizi Gallery gift shop, Florence
  • Brass leopard ring - thrifted
  • Crystal earrings - thrifted, Seattle

Woot! I made it through two days of work and now it's an extra-long weekend for me. Stay tuned for Mom-Day tomorrow!

  1. It’s like that jacket and that blouse were made for each other! They just complement each other so well. And, the heels of your boots are so cool. They look like they would make you go boinging down the street like Tigger!

  2. The boots, oh my! Yup, rock star boots with every other piece playing its part. :) I know, others will say rock star pants or blouse or jacket, but for me it’s the boots!
That’s one of the best pictures of the castle I can ever recall seeing on your blog in terms of cooperating weather. Enjoy Spring and stepping out with your Mom and your nice long weekend!
    Cheers, Laurie

  3. Your outfit is very rock and roll indeed. That fabulous Pierre Cardin blouse couldn't have had a better first outing. Those croc-embossed pants, the red leopard print blazer, those awesome boots and the chain belt all contribute to making this an A+ outfit!
Wishing you and your Mom a wonderful Mom Day, and you and L and excellent long weekend! xxx

  5. Great outfit and stellar boots. What you did with the cuffs I would have suggested too.
