Let's get to it! Here's Friday's office outfit.
I loved this - it felt very me, and all these colours made me so happy.
- Cotton sweater - Zara, consignment; last seen here under my grey Gigli dress in February
- Silk blend tunic - Marni, consignment; first worn here with black and pink for Book Club in December 2025
- Lined linen trousers - Nine West, thrifted; last seen here in August 2025 with lavender bookends
- Shoes - Classy Bach, Fluevog; last worn here in April with my teal suit
It was a hot day, but I figured a thin cotton sweater would be okay - and I was right.
It layered really well with this top, on its second outing. I kept the bottom simple with these awesome white linen pants (which are LINED, right to the hem, and washable!).
Rear view so you can admire the fin down the back seam - I like that detail.
The colours are much bolder on the back! Incognito.
I skipped a jacket, although I had one planned (my pink suede fringe).

The stuff:
I forgot I had this bag, tsk tsk, Sheila. Let's remedy that!
- Silk scarf - Alexander McQueen, consignment
- Leather backpack - Ash, consignment
I loved the neon bookends of the sweater and these shoes.
Lavender bling:
Did you notice my lavender socks? - Carved jadeite bangle - consignment
- Steel/stone bracelet - Moda, Maltese, vintage mall
- Silver/gold/amethyst cobra ring - vintage fair
- Silver/amethyst ring - vintage mall
- Necklace - strung by me, made with Venetian glass beads from a family necklace
- Earrings - consignment, c. 1996
L and I walked down to Christie's Pub - two days in a row! - for dinner, then strolled home and played board games all night.
Pictures of the boys.
Barnabas taking over the bench. Buddy, have you been eating more than your share of food?
That's a solid little tum you've got there.

Attempting to do a selfie with Whateley just as he bonks me in the face with love.
He was REALLY happy to see me.
He was REALLY happy to see me.
After a bit of a sleep in, I was up and ready to go for brunch at John's Place. Nick is away, so just the two of us.
Time to break out the giant pants!
Time to break out the giant pants!
We had a lovely brunch, then did our weekly grocery shop, followed by a nap for L and writing for me.
The boys helped. I've decided not to keep Angus here - he migrates on the carpet from being walked on. It's not befitting a steer of his stature!

I paired up these pants with the denim jacket right away, then pulled this saturated pink knit tank.
Pink socks, orange purse, pink scarf, orange jewelry...it all works! Every seen pink and orange in nature? Duh! Of course!

- Leather purse - Fossil, consignment, Powell River
- Crystal dolphin brooch - vintage fair
- Carp brooch - vintage fair
- Mulberry silk scarf "F-This, F-That" - Fluevog
Orange and gold bling:
Mom's belt and Karen's pendant.
- Belt - vintage 70s, Mom's
- Gold-tone/pink stone bracelet - D'Orlans, vintage mall, gift from L
- Carved faux cinnabar bangle - consignment
- Steel/Lucite ring - Calvin Klein, thrifted
- Square ring - sidewalk find
- Amber ring - c. 1996
- Gold earrings - Biko, consignment
- Glass tile pendant - Venice, Karen's, gift from me
So, after much thinking, I decided to put Angus over our two bookshelves, which are packed with CDs.
Barnabas checked it out right away.
Whateley observed from a safe distance.
"I like this cow!" "I suppose this will do."
Okay, no messing this up, okay?
"Smaug says I can scratch it!"
Barnabas, behave!
On Saturday afternoon, I got ready to go to Mack's 50th birthday party. Unlike last year (here), we actually showed up on the correct date.
I found this top when I was digging out my pink backpack and realized that I don't have to hide it from Vizzini anymore.
- Top - Christian Audigier, vintage 00s, consignment, Powell River; first seen here (4th outfit) in September 2023 for Rifflandia
- Skirt - Soho Apparel, consignment; last worn here (2nd outfit) in January with Weird Adidas for brunch
- Shoes - Prepare Guide, Fluevog; last seen here (2nd outfit) in August 2025 for the Winesday Pool Party!
- Suede jacket (below) - Prosper & Devine, vintage mall; last worn here in March
And I thought, "I need to move this into my wardrobe, stat!"
No need to hide this! I want to wear it more!
The arms say "Peace out" and "Love in."
I loved all the movement in this outfit, plus the colour. Someone who'd been talking to L at the party came up to me and said, "You must be the jellyfish!" Ha!
I have about 12 inches of the top tucked in, so you can't see the blue dip-dye here.
All the red parts are glittery sparkle.
More fringe with my tentacle coat.
"You need more cat!"
Barnabas, what are you doing there?
"Just hanging!"
Seriously, he likes to lay like this.
I nearly forgot my Ed Hardy by Audigier scarf!
I was glad of this later in the evening when it was chilly.

- Leather purse - Club Monaco, thrifted
- Silk scarf - Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier, consignment, vintage 90s
- Belt - Fluevog
The stuff:
Him and L, not wearing matching yellow pants this time either (that's happened before).
Oops, forgot my bracelets!
- Steel/crystal cuff - Juicy Couture, consignment
- Silver/turquoise bangle - consignment
- Turquoise/silver rings - both consignment
- Silver/aquamarine Fulvia Ring - Wendy Brandes
- Silver earrings - gift from Petra
Mack greeted us with, "Hey, you made it on the right day this time!" Ha!
I talked to some lovely folks - Erica, Renata and Janna (hi!) - and Vero was there too.
Once we were "people'd out" we hung out together. Love you, honey.

Mack getting serenaded before blowing out the candled on the (delicious) chocolate birthday cake.
Thanks so much for having us!
And now, time to go spend the waning hours of the weekend with my fam.
Barnabas showing off his underpants. I slipped the skirt off to do some afternoon chores, and he settled right down on it.
And here we are, at the end already. Thanks so much for being here!
