Outfit the First!
This wonderful grey leopard skirt was the first thing I reached for from the new-to-me items that I bought off-season.
I loved how it sits low at my hips - it stayed put nicely and didn't ride up or spin around or do any of the other bothersome things that skirts do.
I picked it up for a pittance during L's birthday week in Sidney.

Yes, you read that right - four dollars and fifty cents. You can't even buy a coffee for that now.
This is the kind of skirt I look and just go, "YUP."
Winner!
I paired it with another thrift store purchase, this wool and silk sweater by a Canadian designer.
Note the sheer sleeves - they are silk.
I wasn't sure if I'd need a jacket in the office.
But I ended up just draping it on my chair for the day. Aw, such memories of our photoshoot!
Incognito. The jacket is a thick stretch denim.
I liked how the coffee-colour silk scarf went with the spots on the skirt.

Outfit the Second!
After a busy day at work, I hopped the bus home, fed Vizzini and changed into my theatre outfit. It's a new season at the Belfry Theatre, and now there are 6 of us with season tickets. So fun!
As pondered the first time I wore this dress, I did keep it out for fall/winter.
- Sweater - Sonia Rykiel, vintage 90s, thrifted; last worn here (2nd outfit) in September with a silver mini and a maxi-bomber
- Dress - Uniqlo X Claire Waight Keller, thrifted; first seen here in August

I really liked this styled up with more autumnal pieces.
I also layered an extra half-slip underneath, which rode up a bit when I walked (it clung to the fishnet tights).
The blue/green dress is a perfect match for the teal shoes. I suspect we'll see them together again.
I had to wear my new-to-me suede coat!
The lovely person at the Box Office cooed over my colours.
All done up.
I walked to the Fernwood Inn and met up with the gang for dinner, and walked home afterwards.
Swoon!

The scarf is amazing - it never wrinkles - and it looks great with the suede coat.

I've had these shoes since 2016 and I've worn them 35 times! I love that!
I prefer this look over the non-jacketed outfit. This PANK wool moto goes with everything!
Copper bling:
I usually wear the cobalt blue sweater as a top.
The enameled set is a recent-ish acquisition - it's more modern than most of my copper jewelry.

Outfit the Third!
Today's outfit features this new-to-me patterned blouse, and I won't keep you in suspense...
It's off to Limbo. Nope, not good enough quality. Didn't like it.

I hadn't originally planned to wear the sweater vest over it, but I quickly realized it Would Not Do and improvised.
The skirt, however, is marvelously soft and swooshy.
I love the luxe suede, and that split at the front is excellent for walking.
It has a tulip shape (very popular in the early 00s) but it hangs straight.
Can't wait to wear it again!

It's always exciting to see the clothing back in the closet for a new season. I forgot about a very lovely bow sweater, so it feels like new. Love the first outfit. Grey and brown work perfect together, with black. Gorgeous boots. I think local theatre is important for the community, even if it wasn't that good. It's about meeting other people and supporting of course.

DeleteOutfit the first, super skirt! I liked it best all done up with the outer wear as am not a fan of the sweater color and prefer the colors of the jacket and silk scarf. Outfit the second, oh yes! The color, visual interest, swoosh, and comfort for sitting in a theatre, Woohoo! Most wonderful that your theatre group has expanded! I was wishing there was something similar here and then realized there is! We have a theatre in town that we could walk to and after this comment I will scoot to their website and see what’s cooking for this season. They don’t host plays, rather it’s talks, movies and concerts.

This combo plays nice together :) with the sophistication of the skirt and it’s walking slit, fish nets and shoes, which have me thinking of Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy.
