A very neutral colour like this pebble grey is tricky in my wardrobe - I don't have anything in that colour! I suppose I could cultivate a wardrobe of "putty" and "cafe au lait" shades, but yeah, have you met me?
- Top - Garcia, consignment; last worn here in August 2023 with bronze pleats and denim
- Trousers - Stella McCartney, consignment, Vancouver; first seen here in April with a funky bomber jacket
- Shoes - Miz Mooz, thrifted; purchased here for $12.00
- Jacket (below) - Smoking Lily; last worn here in May with more peachy leopard
Throw some pattern, colour and shine at them and they sink into the background. I felt very comfy and swooshy and louche in this outfit, and very much "me." Goal achieved.
This top is a classy version of a rock tee, with a picture highlighted with gold and writing, originally printed with, "A Leopard Doesn't Change It's Spots," but that made me all kinds of twitchy, so I scraped the offending gold foil apostrophe off. So much better.
Colleague Tristan recognized the specific type of aloe plant on it - I was impressed! There's also a leopard lurking in there, which makes sense.
Ah, the joy of a pair of silk Jammy Pants! These are fancy Stella McCartney trousers, and so loose and flowy.
The pebble pattern is dark green on cream, and hides all the wrinkles they accumulate over a day of sitting at a desk.
I layered a vintage camisole under my top so that I wouldn't sweat onto it - it worked! Incognito.
The temps have evened out around 22-24 daily, which is just perfect. It can stay this way until October, please and thanks, with rain at night to keep the fires at bay.

Wow, these shoes were fantastic, worth every penny of my $12.00 spent. Comfortable, no rubbing at all. Get used to 'em, I'll be wearing them for years.

Gold bling:
More "Gossip Girl" inspiration - long layered necklaces, I'm feeling it.
The droopy leopard was on the jacket lapel.

Ah great trousers! Any colour goes with that right? Although, you know me, I only wear it with black...... and grey.......haha. I am the opposite of you!
ReplyDeleteThose trousers are gorgeous. I'm hearing you on the apostrophe thing, which would have bothered me no end. Loving the droopy leopard brooch, and those shoes are pretty unusual for Miz Mooz, I guess. xxx
ReplyDeleteLove the Stella pants - so comfortable, easy breezy yet fitted enough to show off a figure. And the shoes/sandals also look so comfortable, no wonder you'll be keeping them around. The jewelry and jacket combine for a bit of pizzazz. :-)
ReplyDeleteCheers, Laurie
I love the leopard brooch. The leopard trousers look very comfortable...and so chic! You look great.
