The grey blur you see around my shoes is Whateley; there's Barnabas in the background wondering what the beeping is.
- Merino wool sweater - Lord & Taylor, consignment; last seen here (2nd outfit) in November with plaid and a tux hoodie for brunch
- Dress - Uniqlo X C: Clare Waight Keller, thrifted; first worn here in September with Marimekko
- Boots - Original Sabado, Fluevog; last seen here in November with houndstooth and the Eiffel Tower
- Puffer coat (below) - Donna Karan, consignment; last worn here in March
I layered my cerulean blue wool sweater under it (I had vintage cami/slip action going on underneath to stave off the itch), then just matched everything else. Easy peasy!
Puffer coat! It was totally dry today, and much colder. Not a drop of rain!
I will only do down-filled puffers, as they are so light and snug to wear.

Kitty time! I caught Barnabas grabbing the Santa hat off poor Smaug the gargoyle.
"So this is...Santa?" "It's a ball!"
They settled down for a snooze with L while we watched TV.
He is the preferred sleeping area, not me. Boo...

Nice swoosh skirt, perfect for Whateley to prance around and investigate. Do those two rascals plan to respect the Santa hat? I'm not sure I'd trust them to keep the pompom intact.
ReplyDeleteI have to ask, how do you get in and out of those marvellous boots? Do they have a discreet zipper on the inside of the leg?
I hope you and L, and B and W have a fabulous Christmas!
Beautiful blue sweater and a wonderful maxi skirt. I like the blue boots as well.
ReplyDeleteYou look so lovely.
Your cats are adorable. They add to the Christmas vibe, playing with that Santa's heat. I'm sure you'll remember your first Christmas with them. I wish you and everyone you hold dear all the best, dear Sheila. Happy holidays! Merry Christmas!
That is the perfect pressie for you! That necklace looks like those vintage diving bells!!!! Naughty cats! They are so cute and I love how the motion was caught in the pictures- a hurricane of joy!!!
ReplyDeleteThe blues make me really happy!xx
Happy Christmas Sheila! Lise
ReplyDeleteLove the kittens. What is a VP?
ReplyDeleteGreetje
A Vice-President.
DeleteWhateley and Barnabas wrestling with the Santa hat is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteYour easy Christmas Eve Eve outfit is gorgeous. I'm loving the pops of blue of your sweater and boots with the Uniqlo dress. I could have done with one of those puffer coats today. It was absolutely freezing! And didn't you get the perfect present from your VP? They know you very well indeed! xxx
I love this combo! Cerulean and cobalt blue are my favorite colors. Sadly I’ve just about worn my treasured cobalt blue cotton long sleeve top to its bitter end. It was my Aunt’s so there is the sentimental part of it…alas, there are many seams coming apart but thankfully nobody knows when it’s worn as an under layer. :)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, your top and the dress pop against each other, like the cork coming off a champagne bottle, and with those fabulous boots it’s a wonderful winter delight!
Hi Barnabas, hi Whateley!
Cheers, Laurie
Looking fab&comfy in that matchy blues (I have a weakness for those boots!) and I love that you had The Perfect Present (woo hoo, shoes! ;D)
ReplyDeleteKitties make Xmas way more interesting indeed!, those boys investigating Santa's hat are so funny!
besos
That's a great outfit, relaxed and glamorous, the best combo.
ReplyDeleteI've just shown the kitties to Jon, he wants them! xxx
