"And grey."
I had assistance today. Hello, Whateley!
- Wool cardigan - Ports International, vintage 80s, consignment; last worn here in July with silk palazzo pants and a bustier
- Silk blouse - Zoe + Sam, thrifted; last seen here in June, layered under a red sweater
- Skirt - Culture, Dots; last worn here (2nd outfit) in March with blue silk and velvet and fringe
- Shoes - Go Groovy Aubrey, Fluevog; last seen here in October for brunch in bronze
- Leather trenchcoat (below) - vintage 70s, thrifted; last worn here a week ago for Mom-Day
The skirt is stretchy velvet with iridescent small paillettes that are blue on one side and orange on the other - you can see the sparkly flash of them. My colleagues loved it.
This leather trenchcoat is going to be getting a lot of wear in the next couple of days, as we are beset by an Atmospheric River. I can hear it raining!
There are giant puddles everywhere, but my feet stayed dry in my Doc Martens. I usually don't wear my good shoes in the weather unless it's dry.

The weight of these pieces felt good.
I take my accessory pictures when I get home from work, which is why my beret is wet. My hair stayed dry tucked up inside it!

- Gloves - thrifted

Oh yah, I’m with your colleagues on loving this outfit! After glancing through the news my next stop was here and upon seeing the outfit photo immediately smiled. :) Yay for you and your blog posts, a wonderful antidote and especially this morning with the sparkles, the orange, the shoes and my favorite color of blue - vivid and vibrant. This is a ”happy” outfit and you look right at home in it. Stay dry!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Laurie
It was a very comfy and cozy cocoon outfit, Laurie! A perfect antidote for the news (seriously, I just can't right now). You'll laugh when you see the "real" me in my next Substack article.
DeleteOh yes…the news…Sadly, I understand.
DeleteBlue and orange for the win! As for that sparkly skirt, it's just fantastic and perfect for the run-up to the festive season! And I adore those orange shoes! xxx
ReplyDeleteRight? I love these cozy colours! The skirt is such a sparkly thing - it really gives me joy. Thanks, Ann!
DeleteThat is an attractive bold contrast, made even better with the shoes. That is a wonderful sparkly skirt.
