Orange You Glad It's Not a Dress?

I'm waiting for slightly cooler weather to wear yet more dresses (and short skirts). I still have two jumpsuits left to wear!
I love the very vibrant orange. It's very impressive in person.

  • Jumpsuit - Kensie, consignment; last seen here (2nd outfit) in September 2024 with black/silver for brunch
  • Shoes - Sole Talk Lenora, Fluevog; last worn here in March, first outfit of the spring/summer season

I've taken to checking my neighbours' decks when I take my stair pics. Today, Kes spotted me.
"You're that scary lady who came to my house."

His mouth looks like Pennywise's in "It." Hallowe'en kitty!

This is my 9th wearing of this orange jumpsuit that L convinced me to try on back in 2019.
Not bad for something I didn't consider trying on. I loved the colour!

Not so much the white zipper, which still makes me shake my head after all these years.
My neon highlighter touch-ups have worked pretty well, though.

Incognito.
I loved this scarf with this outfit. I'm a star!

Accoutrements and stuff:
I was very much into the orange/lavender vibe of this outfit, and pounced when I saw this scarf. It's pink-peach, close enough.

  • Silk scarf - Mary McFadden, vintage 70s, thrifted

Bold bling:
I love the weight of the bib necklace.

  • Orange bangle - consignment, Sidney
  • Carved jadeite bangle - consignment
  • Steel/purple stone cuff - Maltese, vintage 70s, vintage mall
  • Steel/Lucite ring - Calvin Klein, thrifted
  • Silver/amethyst ring - vintage mall
  • Necklace - J. Crew, consignment

  3. There is the obvious - the zest and vibrancy of this fabulous jumpsuit and how perfectly it fits your body. Then there is the unseen part - the confidence you have in wearing a solid vibrant palette. I hugely admire your willingness to wear what you like and be bold with your choice! ❤️
I find myself in a slump, a period of shyness in my dressing and will try to summon an image of you in this week’s fabulous outfits when next I shop or even get dressed for the day.
    Cheers, Laurie

    1. There is something to be said for a "one and done" piece that does all the work for you. Not all jumpsuits fit the same, so finding this one that totally suits my frame/figure was lucky. I think you know by now, Laurie, that I'll always wear whatever the heck I want.
Aw, I'm sorry to hear that! It's okay to have that kind of slump - we don't have to be bright and cheery all the time. If colour is feeling off for you right now, try finding textiles that comfort you (soft linens and cottons, gentle silks to soothe), or shapes that flow and feel good to move in.

  4. Oh yes, you know how much I love orange and this is a beauty of a jumpsuit. Jumpsuits look good on you (bad on me). The shoes make me drool.
Husbands can be helpful in buying clothes and stuff. Ron urged me to buy the white cowboy boots. My goodness, I can wear them with so much. And like you, I would never have considered them.

    1. It's a beautiful colour and a great fit. Absolutely! I love shopping with L as he'll often buy something for me that I deem too expensive. I love cowboy boots!
