Dressed Lime and Pink

It's a mini-dress week! Another dress, following another round of not really feeling like planning anything complicated.
I hadn't worn this lime green dress yet this season - so why not now? Dresses give me a bit of a break.

  • Dress - Zara, consignment; last worn here in January with cobalt blue
  • Shoes - Half Truth Tanya, Fluevog; last seen here in July with jungle and eyelash

The sleeves were nice, and I like all this draping.
Of course it doesn't have pockets, and of course, it's thick polyester.

But that colour! It's very versatile - I've worn it with white and cobalt so far.
It's not a forever piece, but I'm not finished with it yet.

Incognito.
It was windy again - but sunny! - and this big YSL scarf kept my hair from looking like a bird's nest during my walk to and from work.

Accoutrements and stuff:
Colleague Sarah admired my shoes - they're 11 years old and still going strong.

  • Silk scarf - Yves Saint Laurent, vintage 80s, thrifted
  • Belt - Desigual, thrifted, Sidney

Bold bling:
I loved the contrast of the magenta with the lime dress.

  • Green sparkly bracelet - vintage 60s, Mom's
  • Glass bangle - thrifted
  • Sparkly cocktail ring - vintage 70s, Mom's
  • Scarab ring - Heidi Daus, vintage mall, gift from L
  • Metal earrings - thrifted

  1. Love the colour combo Sheila! You're inspired me to mix my colours in this palate. Wish I had iridescent shoes though.........

  2. Very good colour on you! Which is surprising as not many women can wear this colour. I'll bet it looks stunning with cobalt indeed.

  3. Vibrant color! I especially like the belt and the vivid pink/magenta earrings, both so colorful. Also appreciate (what was) your Mom's cocktail ring. :-)
Am off for a bike ride into town with Fred.
    Cheers, Laurie

    1. Thanks, Laurie! I got that ring off Mom during the pandemic, but I remember her wearing it in the 70s.
Nice, hope you have good weather!

  6. With that dress, the scarf and sunglasses you could step into a convertible car and drive along the coast of the Cote d'Azur. Very 1950 chic.
