Nectarine, Jammy Dress and Boots, Zoe's Grad

The bloom of vacation is fading! Better wear a Jammy Dress!
Today's Jammy Dress brought to you by vintage Desigual. *snort* Can you believe the early 00s are now VINTAGE?

  • Blazer - InWear; last worn here in April in a Gerber daisy outfit
  • Dress - Desigual, 00s, consignment, Sidney; purchased here for $58.00
  • Boots - Clarks; last seen here (2nd outfit) in March for brunch

This blazer was dubbed "nectarine" by colleague Viz.
I thought it worked well with the many, many colours in the dress, which all skew to warm tones.

So classy.
It was very windy today and the layers of the skirt portion wafted around - the black mesh underlayer kept my legs covered.

Without the jacket - I took it off briefly in the morning after doing the stairs.
It's a great dress - insanely comfy and goes with a lot of colours (always something I look for).

Incognito.
I had to do the jacket up to keep it from flapping around me. Stoopid wind.

The stuff:
I'd actually planned to wear a far more summery shoe, but it was rainy and gloomy when I woke up. Boots to the rescue!

Matchy bling:
Playing with the greens, orange and browns in the pattern of the dress.

  • Green stone bracelet - vintage mall
  • Coral glass cuff - Loren Hope, consignment, Sidney
  • Silver/aventurine ring - consignment
  • Silver/green stone ring - consignment, Sidney
  • Silver/malachite ring - consignment
  • Silver/wood earrings - consignment, Powell River

Today was my eldest niece Zoe's university graduation (Bachelor's degree). It was televised but I was too busy to watch at work - I'm off to catch up via the recording and be the proud aunt.
My brother Dave took the ferry from Nanaimo so he could be there (Vancouver) for the day. He looks so much like our dad...

Mom is also there - her first travel in 5+ years! - with Zoe's mom and sister. Congratulations, Zoe! Sending love out to my family!

  2. Congratulations to Zoe! And of course, congratulations to the whole family! So wonderful to celebrate accomplishments such as graduation! Yippee for Helen to have made the trip! Glad that you have the recording to watch. Does Zoe have plans for what she wants to do next?

Now for your outfit - when Desigual gets it just right their dresses are packed with color, pattern overall and fit, and that’s what this jammy dress has, all three are spot on. The orange blazer is a nice addition. Oh my, boots in June, well that’s the benefit of leaving some boots accessible throughout all four seasons.
    Cheers, Laurie

    1. It was a Big Deal for Mom to travel all that way (car, ferry, car, and then sitting for 3 hours), but she did well and was a trooper! I have no idea what Zoe will do next.

I could sleep in this dress, it's that comfy! I know, sigh - we often refer to June here as "June-uary".

Your Clarks boots look like more comfortable versions of my Frye boots. x
