Anniversary Outfit Revisit

Hello, my friends! Thank you so much for the comments and good wishes - I appreciate every one of you. The week ahead is a busy one, so let's get this going!
Today was my 15th anniversary of my job! I love what I do - although I can grumble mightily at times - and I adore my coworkers and vice versa.

  • Shirt - Eddie Bauer, consignment; last worn here (3rd outfit) in October 2025 for the Flummunity Formal Fest
  • Bustier - Zara, consignment; last seen here (4th outfit) in November 2025 for brunch
  • Skirt - Surrealist, consignment, Powell River; first worn here in January with a zigzag sweater
  • Crinkle jacket - Issey Miyake, consignment, Sidney; last seen here in October 2025 belted over gold lace
  • Shoes - Misty Vogettes, Fluevog; last worn here in February with orange and burgundy
  • Eclipse coat (below) - Welsh, vintage 60s, consignment; last seen here in February

I thought it would be fun to riff on what I wore for my first day of work here in March 2011:
You might recognize the Le Chateau plaid bustier - I still have it! I couldn't find it, or I would have worn it!

This is my version of "toned down" for the new job. I wore cufflinks and a bustier, ha ha!
I was hired for a different job, then moved to reception at another office.

Now, I'm an office manager, facilities coordinator, executive assistant and a finance specialist - a Sheila of All Trades. And I'm still dressing wacky!
I started with the white shirt and the bustier, landing on this stretchy copper one.

Just like with my First Day fit, I did a funky skirt.
And instead of a blazer, my lightly-structured Issey Miyake jacket.

There's a High Degree of Difficulty styling here, which I just want to show off! I tied the tie in a half-bow instead of the traditional knot, and layered the ball necklace over it.
And I put copper clip-on earrings through the unbuttoned shirt cuffs as decoration! I saw someone on Substack do this with the front placket of a shirt and thought it was a GENIUS idea. Such a good way to wear your clip-ons!

Once I flipped the shirt cuffs over the jacket, I didn't want to "ruin" the look, but I had planned to wear the outfit without it.
I loved wearing this skirt again - the side pocket is excellent.

Incognito. It was freezing in the morning...
And I was dripping with sweat in the afternoon! I'm going to need to swap my coats over to Early Spring/Leather Weather soon.

The stuff:
I carried my hat and gloves in my bag on the way home.

  • Bucket hat - Picabo, vintage 90s, vintage fair
  • Copper brooch - vintage 60s, thrifted
  • Leather gloves - consignment

Copper bling:
The tie says, "Has a Love Letter Ever Won Your Heart" - it bugs me that there is no question mark.

  • Silk tie - Escada by Margaretha Ley, vintage 80s, thrifted
  • Copper cuff/clip earrings - Renoir, vintage 50s, consignment
  • Copper leaf cuff - vintage 60s, thrifted, Sidney
  • Square ring - sidewalk find
  • Brass leopard ring - thrifted
  • Copper ring - consignment
  • Bronze ring - P. Sarpaneva, vintage 70s, vintage expo
  • Copper ball necklace - vintage 60s, vintage expo
  • Copper earrings - vintage expo

No kitties today, sorry!
