I managed to get the office tree down today - it only took 40 minutes, but that's a big chunk of time!
Showing off my lobster pin, one of my favourite possessions.

I was looking for non-snaggable clothes and my eyes alit on this orange sweater dress, which I've had for 5 years now. This is its 12th wearing, so I'm down to just under $3 per wear.
I've always worn it on its own or with a jacket or vest. I went matchy with the denim blue shade.
Steel blue boots and a jeans-blue suede coat. I got soaked on the way to work, and damp on the way home.

The stuff:
I haven't worn these boots in over a year, but I still like them - they were very comfy for walking to and from the office.

Love your orange dress Shiela. Perfect and cosy for winter. X
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Jess! It's very cozy!
DeleteWhen you count the number of times an article is worn, it soon becomes obvious that you are getting your moneys worth out of it. My biggest regret is back in my 20s when I passed up on a wonderful, expensive winter coat and bought a cheaper one that I didn't like as much. The good one would have worked out well financially in the long run, priced per wearing! I learned a lesson there that I never forgot.
ReplyDeleteThe fin is such a cool piece and fabulous with the zingy orange.
ReplyDeleteAs always. I'm happy to see that lovely coat! xxx
Mmm, the vibrancy of your orange dress is a tonic on any day and it provides an excellent backdrop for the fin top. The ensemble is sophisticated funkiness! Once again I’m appreciating your jewelry. I used to wear a lot of silver - earrings and bracelets - in high school. A long time ago I culled my collection, keeping just a few favorites as I opted for colorful earrings. Ever since retiring, while earrings are a daily ritual, I rarely wear bracelets any more so it’s all the sweeter to appreciate yours. :)
ReplyDeleteCheers, Laurie
