Tiger and Double Klimt

I've been wanting to wear this wonderful embroidered tiger sweater for a while now.
I worked out my outfit last night before bed - I find that relaxing.

  • Shirt - Denver Hayes, consignment; last worn here (3rd outfit) in October 2025 for the Fluevog Flummunity Fest
  • Sweater - Kenzo, thrifted; last seen here in September 2025 for a Mom-Day at Cadboro Bay Beach
  • Trousers - FRNCH, thrifted; last worn here in November 2025 with spring floral
  • Sneakers - James Harden X Adidas, consignment; last seen here with my wavy jeans and tux hoodie in December 2025
  • Suede coat - Tadmor, Israeli, vintage 60s, vintage mall; last worn here a few weeks ago

This is the first time I've layered a shirt under the sweater and I liked the effect.
These mock-croc pants have been a good purchase - no boring black pants here!

Ready for anything!
"Who's that?"

Well, not rain - and it did start spitting on the way home.
And I hear we're in for lots of it, oh, joy.

You might have noticed a little someone in the corners of the pictures above.
"Who are you talking to?"

It's your fans, Barnabas! They're watching you grow up and get big!

Nearly forgot my purse.
Since I walked to work in my sneakers, I had to do the matching purse!

The stuff:
Right? I think they are now friends for life.

  • Silk Klimt scarf - consignment, Powell River; purchased here for $6.00
  • Leather gloves - Picabo, Powell River
  • Leather purse - vintage 80s, thrifted

The silk scarf was lovely - it's a very good quality silk.

I realized when I picked out my accessories, "Oh, yeah! I have another Klimt piece!" It's called "Woman Friends" (link here), which is very appropriate.
I bought two of these identical rings at the Velvet Crease, when they were in their old location, so 2009, as I gave the other one to Daisy for her birthday (outfit post here, with guest star, Karen!).

Golden bling:
I felt like wearing giant hoops!

  • Gold bangle - thrifted
  • Hinged eelskin bangle - vintage 80s, thrifted
  • Gold hoop earrings - 2002/5th anniversary gift from L
  • Necklace - Givenchy, vintage 80s, vintage fair
  • Wooden Klimt ring - consignment
  • Lapis lazuli ring - Wendy Brandes

Whateley likes to steal our spots as soon as we get up.
"I sleep on the blanket!"      "This is my spot now."

They still respond to odd noises ("made you look!") - I'll enjoy that while it lasts. They'll grow to ignore them as they get older.

  1. Mmm, I bet Barnabas and Whateley like to cuddle themselves into the warmth created by both your bodies. All they need is a nice cup of hot tea. ;-)
I love the Klimt "Women Friends" ring! Like you, I would have purchased two, one for me and one for my closest friend Ann.
Oh my yes, the sneakers and the pocketbook are linked together now, such a perfect match! The top part of your outfit speaks to me. The pants, though, well I'm having a tough time imaging what they feel like when you sit and bend your knees. They do not look soft, interesting definitely, but not soft!
As I type this it is Thursday morning so perhaps today is a Mom Day, yay! Till tomorrow, Cheers, Laurie

  2. That is a fabulous Tiger sweater and I agree that the shirt underneath works really well. How amazing that you have a bag which matches your sneakers. I think Whateley is planning to upstage Barnabas with some poses of his own!

  3. Three formidably fierce felines, all wonderful! That sweater is sooooo cool.
So, every time you wear those pants I wonder: don’t they make you very warm? (I’m dreading hot flashes by proxy, I’m afraid, haha.)
Plus, love that the new bag matches your shoes- that’s a match made in heaven…

  4. That's a cool sweater and I like your 'no boring black pants' attitude, so inspiring!. But my favourite thing is the fabulously matchy sneakers & bag combo, that makes my heart sing!
And obviously, those boys are stealing the show again! ;D

  5. PS: the little ear and noggin in the corners of your pose pics is so bloody cute I could die. -RR
