Well, I guess I know where I get my diva poses from!
My fiend Meerah on Substack did a post (here) about wearing oversized tops with tulle skirts, and being a lover of tulle skirts, I thought, "I'll give this a shot!"
Nothing new in this outfit, all pulled from my closet. I started with the pastel pink skirt and extra-long cardigan and went from there.

This reminded me of layering I did in high school with a big full red wool skirt and one of my dad's old fisherman cardigans (Mom made it for him - I still have it).
After lunch at home, Mom dropped me off at the local mall and I bussed home from there. I did some photo editing, then walked back to town to meet up with my bestie Janet for dinner at Zambri's Italian restaurant (the best!).
I took a page from other Fashion People I've seen around and tied the sparkly sweater around my waist. I liked this! It wasn't as warm as the first look, but definitely more stylish.
The cardigan is shorter in the back, so the sweater peeks out.
Sweetums! It was cold but crisp, so I risked not wearing a heavy outerwear piece.
But I wanted to wear Sweetums.

I did a lot of walking and took a lot of busses! These shoes are nice and comfy - I still need to buy inserts for them, but they're fine as is.
"Mom, I'm on my way!" I texted to her. What's that I see in the background?

The trees were full of robins snacking on these berry buds.
I took my headphones out so I could hear all the birdcall.

It would be all we'd see for the day.
The pathway was quiet.
The few remaining puddles were frozen.
As Mom and I ate lunch, we watched the birds hopping around in her yard.
Lots of these little ones.

Photo time. "I haven't got any jewelry on!" said Mom. But that's a lovely sweater!
Our lunch was grilled cheese and ham on bagels, and veggies and dip.
As I stood up and looked for more birds, I noticed a visitor on Mom's front deck.
Busted! This young hooligan and his crony over there on the street are after the birds.
The neighbours' birdfeeder was empty - they must be well-known.
They skulked around while we watched, this one always leading.
It was a lovely visit - so glad to just hang out.
Well, they do know their stuff! I found this lovely cornflower blue purse on the sale rack.
I love you, Mom! We're missing next week, as I have to do my preparation for my next closet sale (aka Limbo Sale).
I had 10 minutes in Rich Rags consignment before meeting up with Janet, so I said, "Show me all the good stuff!"
I see that faded name under the gold spade.
All the hardware is gold-tone.
The inside lining is SO characteristic of bags c. 2012. It reminds me of McDonald's fries' packaging.
Lots of pockets, which I love.
I checked carefully before I bought it.
It was $30.00, an excellent price.
GOOD. It's real leather!
And it's by Kate Spade, of course.
I was brought an assortment of Adidas (it's like they know me, hee hee), and I gasped out loud at this jacket.
The stripes are magnificent! It's all a pale mint green/baby blue.
Looks like it's from September 2018.
I found pictures of it when I searched on DU9885 - it's from a line called Adidas Originals referred to as denim (it's 100% cotton), but more like a heavy canvas than denim.
I was delighted to discover that the external pockets have been sewn so that they provide inside pockets on both sides.
I was given a small discount on the regular price items I bought, which was so very sweet of the owners. Thank you! This was $70.00.
A girl can never have too many pockets.
And it's NWT! I see the original retail price of $110.00, marked down to $89.99, and an August 2019 date.
As I was moving to pay, I spotted this scarf on the back wall. Skulls!? Give it to me!
"I see you've brought me a new bed, Woman, thank you."
Vizzini settled himself down and checked it out. It's massive, for one! And it is indeed covered in skulls.
"I see dead people."
The detail and resolution on the print is excellent - and it's just as crisp on the other side.
It's by Zadig & Voltaire, and is made in Italy.
This was $55.00, which I recognized as a very good price. It doesn't have the content tag but I was able to find a bunch online - it's a very soft viscose.
I also saw them retailing (in lots of colours) for $150 and up.
Grey skulls on the outer edge, one big white skull at each corner, grey skulls mid-way down, and white in the middle.
I spotted this in the menswear section.
It's a woven brocade design, not a print, on satin. I love birds!
L joked, "I just wish it was bolder, made more of a statement."
It's by Bortenfor, which appears to be a restaurant in Oslo. When I narrowed the search to "Bortenfor clothing" I found this exact jacket on Japanese eBay! How odd.
Love you, babe! I can't believe we've been friends for over 40 years!
It was $70.00...and I promised L he could have it without my "finders' fee" of 10%. I'm so generous!
But not so generous that I'm giving you that scarf, little buddy.
