I'm diligently building outfits featuring some of my favourites.
- Waffle jacket/cardigan - Issey Miyake, consignment, Sidney; last seen here in March with my First Day of Work outfit revisited
- Toga top - Zara, consignment; last worn here in September 2025 with snakeskin
- Mondrian skirt - LS, consignment; last seen here (2nd outfit) in April 2025 for Urbanite at the Art Gallery
- Shoes - Vogettes Pina, Fluevog; last worn here in May with velour and tulle
My Mondrian black, white and blue skirt has been a longtime friend.
It makes me happy. I wasn't as enamoured with the white crinkly top, so it's going to go into Limbo after I was it. I needed arm coverage for the sun - another hot day! - and added my Issey Miyake cardigan/jacket.
I hadn't planned on wearing it in the office, but the AC was chilly!

I need to get my few summer hats into rotation.

All armoured up!
- Silver mesh bracelet - consignment, Sidney
- Silver/obsidian cube bracelet - consignment, Sidney
- Silver/obsidian link bracelet - consignment, Sidney
- Silver/obsidian necklace - Mexican, consignment, Powell River
- Silver clip-on earrings - Mexican, consignment, Sidney
- Silver/obsidian ring - consignment

Cute pictures of the boys from the weekend.
Whateley likes to lurk under the benches where the terra cotta tiles keep him cool.

The Mondrian skirt is a beauty with its drape and artsy color panel placement. The white top looks like a good complement to the skirt but if it doesn’t wear right then off it goes! As for your boys, even through my iPad screen they look soooo cuddleable! By the way, I’m trained after years of reading your blog…as soon as your opening photo was displayed I blurted ‘Mondrian skirt!’ :-)
ReplyDeleteStay cool, presuming Victoria’s temperature today will be similar to Olympia’s! Cheers, Laurie
Ha ha, I've trained you, Laurie! I like the top, but it has no stretch, and felt overly fussy this time. I'll be on the lookout for a replacement.
DeleteThank you! It's smokin' hot out there!
The colour block skirt is great and the top doesn't do it justice, it looks so much better with the black jacket you added. I smiled at Whateley under the bench, and Barnabas is not to be left out. They are so different and yet they complement each other.
ReplyDeleteI agree! it's hard to find that right white top! Yes, they are very much yin and yang!
