Buzzard and Bull Sweater Repeat

Okay, I'm going to get the weather right! It was cloudy and chilly this morning, so I wore a thick wool sweater...and bare legs.
This actually worked out perfectly, as it was sunny and windy by the end of the day.

  • Wool sweater - Kensai O2 by Kensai Yamamoto, vintage 80s, consignment; first seen here (2nd outfit) for Urbanite in April
  • Skirt - Icone, thrifted; purchased here for $18.99
  • Shoes - Garden of Delight Rita, Fluevog; last worn here in September 2024 with swooshy pants

I loved wearing this buzzard and bull sweater again - I have a black cami layered under it. You might think that I would overheat in this, but the sweater itself barely touches me, hanging lightly from my shoulders.
But let's back up and look at the skirt! This is the one I found with Emma last week, and I liked it, but it needs a hook & eye or a snap at the top of the zip to keep it from sliding down. I can fix that! I layered wee shorts for Thigh Security.

I love the back. All clothes should be this interesting!
I waggled my fins at colleague Carol, who enjoyed seeing them in person. Thanks for reading, Carol, you're the best.

 Incognito.
I pulled my sleeves down and added my new-to-me crinkle black scarf. On the way home, I put the fuller ends on my back to keep the sun off.

The stuff:
These shoes were fine for a day that I mostly spent at my desk. I love the wild design of them. That's a curved heel and pointy open toe, rendered in dark navy blue patent leather. Amazing.

  • Crinkle scarf - thrifted; purchased here for $8.49

The scarf is a keeper!

Bold bling:
"And of course, you wore lightning bolts," Carol observed.

  • Black and red Bakelite cuff - vintage 60s, vintage mall, gift from L
  • Black and white cuff - vintage fair
  • Balsa wood lightning bolt earrings - consignment, Sidney
  • Red enamel/silver ring - antique shop, Sidney
  • Lapis lazuli ring - Wendy Brandes

  1. First, the new skirt! Spotted it immediately. Second, I love a good pattern and besides the sweater’s pattern there is the pattern of the bottom front of the skirt, and the top and bottom of the back of the sweater. In other words, those wonderful V shapes! The lightening bolts are the perfect accompaniment for the Vs. :-)

  2. That jumper is fabulous, very Picasso-esque with that stylised bull. Well done on getting dressed for the challenges of the weather right, we've got another day of temperatures forecast to be around 30°C, it'll be a bikini for me! xxx

  3. Obsessed with the Buzzard and Bull Sweater Repeat—the design is bold, comfy, and totally my vibe for the season. It even inspired me to hunt for similar vintage styles, and I found a few gems using a Mercari coupon that made the deal even better. Nothing like scoring unique fashion finds while saving a bit—style and thrift for the win!
