Just playing around in my wardrobe and came up with this sweater/skirt/boot combo. I like it!
- Mohair sweater - Ralph Lauren Sport, consignment; last worn here (2nd outfit) in December 2024 with a different leather skirt
- Mesh top (layered) - Suzy Shier, thrifted; first seen here on the day we got our kittens in September!
- Leather skirt - Jez of Montreal, vintage 80s, thrifted; last worn here in December 2024 in a secretary-ish outfit
- Boots - 7th Heaven Mega-Racer, Fluevog; first seen here in October with my Snake Jacket
- Ultrasuede coat (below) - Halston, vintage 70s, consignment, Sidney; last worn here in March
This sweater is very snuggly, but does require a long-sleeved top under it - I wore my pink mesh one.
I was pleased to find another green piece in my wardrobe to match my green Fluevog boots.
Today was another "break in" day for them - I walked both to and from work in them, and while my heels hurt, I had no blisters.
Someone was lurking around while I took pictures.
The stuff:
Brassy bling:
I wore the tree pin on my beret, of course.

Such a cutie!
You can get a pretty good idea of my Ultrasuede coat from that picture, but as a reminder, this is the interior.
Faux fur lining! It was a chilly day, can you tell? The stuff:
The perfect scarf for the green and plummy-wine colours.
- Wool beret - Parkhurst, thrifted; purchased here for $9.95
- Silk scarf - Pierre Balmain, vintage 80s, thrifted
- Leather gloves - Coach, consignment
I wore the tree pin on my beret, of course.
- Bone/stone/brass cuff - consignment
- Eelskin hinged birds bracelet - vintage 80s, consignment
- Eelskin bangle - fake Gucci, Italy, gift from Mom & Dad, c. 80s
- Earrings - vintage mall
- Stone ring - thrifted
- Brass rings - vintage 70s, vintage mall
- Bronze ring - P. Sarpaneva, Finland, vintage 70s, vintage expo
- Tree pin - Avon
My friends, I'll be back on Sunday with tales of adventure, but I'll leave you with a couple of adorable kitten pictures.
They were racing around while I got ready to go to work. I was lucky to catch them sitting still.

Love those colours together. Excellent outfit! Rgds Lise
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lise!
DeleteYou have me chuckling and then chuckling some more at the expressions - both visual and textual - of those two rapscallions!
ReplyDeleteI’m right there with you in appreciating the sweater, skirt and boots combo! Also smiling at all of your jewelry. :-)
May your teams win and enjoy your chili!
Cheers, Laurie
They are such little monkeys, Laurie - I'd forgotten how rambunctious kittens are!
DeleteThanks so much!
the kittens are growing up so fast! incredibly cute
ReplyDeleteenjoy all the footballs!
They are! They're both 7lbs now.
DeleteBy rights that sweater should be in my wardrobe, I love it so much. Fabulously styled with the leather skirt and badass Fluevog boots!
ReplyDeleteYou've just reminded me I've got a couple of vintage tree pins. What a great idea to wear it on your beret!
I wouldn't be too sure they sleep while you're gone, though :-)
Enjoy your long weekend! xxx
I had a slew of compliments on it - everyone wants *this* sweater. Thank you!
DeleteI love wee pins on my berets!
I know they sleep a lot of time, but we do arrive home to find things that have been batted around!
First time I’ve seen those black fluenogs with green line in sole - delicious!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove that leather skirt on you babe….pencil skirts are built for you!
Love those boys having fun on their post♥️
xoxocaro
They're dark green, Caro, regular leather and suede, not black (that's my bad lighting).
DeleteThank you, honey! Aren't they adorable.
I really like that warm coat! The corner designs of the scarf remind me of a vintage scarf I thrifted in summer, but mine says Bill Blass on it.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love Bill Blass - that's very classy!
DeleteLook at those innocent faces! Butter wouldn't melt...
ReplyDeleteYour sweater is really nice and contrasts textures nicely with the leather skirt. The coat looks snuggly!
Yes, so very innocent, ha ha!
DeleteThanks, Kezzie, the coat is so nice and snuggly.
Are you sure they sleep whilse you're gone? I reckon they climb into your wardrobe and model all your clothes!
ReplyDeleteFabulosly cosy outfit! I hope you're having a fantastic long weeend! xxx
I don't want to know! As I noted above, we find things that they've gotten into...paper receipts are a current favourite, fished out of the paper recycling. Thanks, Vix!
DeleteEnjoy your days off! Love that sweater.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nancy!
DeleteSnuggly warm and still stylish. Well done. I love the names that you give your cats.
