I always "armour up" for just these kinds of times.
- Leather jacket - Michael Kors, consignment; last worn here in March with my Tweed Cover skirt
- Sweater - Bellissima, thrifted; last seen here in February layered under Prada, with this same skirt
- Skirt - Vivienne Westwood Anglomania F/W 2011, consignment, consignment; last worn here in July with an Agnes B cardigan

- Wool cape (below) - Arola, vintage 70s, thrifted; last worn here in April
I had many admirers of all of my studs - I waggled my feet at my colleague Christopher.
My amazingly contorted Vivienne Westwood skirt continues to delight me - it shifts around and moves in interesting ways when I walk.
Such fun twists and swoops.
I pointed out the back studs of the leather jacket to another coworker - these are what sold me on this jacket!
I didn't take the jacket off at all, but I could have!
More opportunity to look at the cool skirt. Outerwear - it's getting too dark to go incognito!
Getting in a wearing of my boucle (boo-CLAY) cape. It needs some TLC - the arm openings have come unstitched.

Black bling:
Note my classy broccoli elastic, to keep the end of my belt from flopping around.
I didn't need this thick scarf - it was far too warm.

Someone was lurking around while I was taking pictures. It's Whateley!
He prefers to be held upright and rubs his face on mine.
He was also my morning Bathroom Helper.
"I hope she turns the tap on!"
He's a funny thing - loves water and tearing up bits of paper.
They both love those!
That's a neat outfit with the studs, and the cape reminded me that I thought you ought to wear a black and two shades of grey outfit one day to celebrate the kittens, and there, you did!
ReplyDeleteI love all the studs. And look at that, it's like I read your mind. :-)
DeleteI too am always awed when I see this skirt. My Pretty Boy loves water too. He loves to be showered, he drinks from the tap and splashes his water bowl around like a plaything. First cat I have had like this :). Your boys are heart stealers. cheers Lise.
ReplyDeleteIt's a very cool piece, isn't it, Lise? Ha, that's far more than Whateley, who basically wants to just play in the tub and sit in the sink.
DeleteMorning, Sheila! The shape of that skirt is everything. I love the teal-y blue of that jumper, too.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny that every cat has a completely different personality? William's a bathroom helper, too! xxx
Thanks so much, Vix!
DeleteOh, that's so funny that William is your bathroom boy.
Refresh my memory, please, has Whateley (or Barnabas, for that matter) snuggled up to drink from a water faucet? I'm not into studs BUT I absolutely appreciate the matching belt and jacket studded to delight! Also love your blue top, partially because ANY blue top approximating cobalt blue is always a positive for me. I see this top as blue-gray but also as blue-green. Pray tell, what color do you see it as in sunlight?
ReplyDeleteFred says Hello! Cheers, Laurie
No, we don't let either of them drink from the faucet - we bought a gurgling fountain for them to drink from.
DeleteThanks! The top is a vivid teal green - it's definitely NOT cobalt blue, and not blue-gray (you may want to adjust your monitor's colours if you see blue-gray). Peacock teal.
Hi, Fred!
I know, some days are just like that, and armouring up is all we can do!
ReplyDeleteTwisty Vivienne Westwood skirt + studs = result! Much love for the boo-CLAY cape and the necklace too. And for those two rascals of yours, obviously! I love a cat who loves a tummy rub! xxx
It was a day that needed a lot of armour - and it's like I knew it in advance (I didn't).
DeleteThanks so much, Ann! They both LOVE tummy rubs!
