First up is Friday's office outfit. Yes, I saved "the best" for last.
And the green leather pack is such a good match!
I hemmed and hawed over what top to put with it, then realized there's a large-scale leopard print block on the pants.

I have a top that matches! This leopard thin turtleneck was a regret-me-not, and I'm definitely not regretting it now. It's perfect with the pants.
Which are quite funny, aren't they? I had fun playing around with the waistal region, which had to be readjusted every time I went to the bathroom.

As you can tell by the Stair Picture, it was rather windy, slightly chilly but also sunny out. I had to wear layers, be cool in the heated theatre, but be warm enough by the time we were all done just before midnight.
This dress was due for a wearing, but since it's a single layer of silk, it needed something else to keep me warm. The blue kimono topper worked perfectly.
The sleeves were exactly the right width and length.
I also wore my lined linen white pants under the dress!
I really loved that look, and leaned into the sporty/casual vibe with my Adidas Superstars.

The show was a hoot, with loads of energy, silliness and great singing and costumes. I thoroughly enjoyed it. L got out of his movie earlier than us and secured us a table at Clive's Lounge.

It's by Next Tailoring and I was fine not trying it on...and then I got home and realized that it's not a Canadian/US size 12 - it's a UK 12...which is more like an 8. It's too tight, so off to the resale it goes.
Oh, well, it was only $14.95.
I also found these fabulous silky polyester pajamas.
The top has black lace on the collar and at the cuffs.
It's by Linda for The Bay (which no longer exists) and it was new with tags (NWT).
I suspect lots of cuddles, board games, music, good times...and did I mention cuddles?
Only $16.95 for both pieces? YES! I'm wearing them as I type!

The tiara is lovely! So nice you enjoyed the show with your friends. I can understand L as well, if musicals are not his thing, better to see a film instead. My husband, for example, doesn't care much for opera, so I usually go to see it with my mom...and he gets a drink with my dad (who is also not an opera lover). Musicals and opera are not for everyone. To each their own, as they say.
The pink and green lady in the background is very stylish indeed. You have a good eye!
That red orange dress is fabulous- and I love how you styled it with boots and a belt. A smoking hot combo!!!

The magic pants worked out beautifully with the leopard top and the nylon top, and of course that bag was just right. The theatre outfit must have drawn some appreciative glances, tiara and all. L. has a sharp outfit, too. The belt on your brunch outfit is good and wide like the one I thrifted recently, only the reason mine must have been donated is because the very wide clasp seems to come undone easily. There is one hook on one side, one on the other. I attacked them with the pliers but they are very strong and not easily bent. Good shopping, I would have pounced on those tights, too!

DeleteThese wide elastic belts are great - you might be able to replace that elastic, although I hear you on the strong hooks.
I'm always amazed at how many pairs of tights and nylons I find. I haven't bought a pair full price in probably 10+ years.
Those pants! They are definitely funky AND fun and I love how you styled them, from top to bottom. I hope those yellow shoes keep going because of their color and they look comfortable. :-) Also the green backpack is luscious looking!

As for Spamalot, I am now (after reading about your experience) regretting my decision to not join a friend in seeing the New Jersey out-of-town production. (I wouldn't have gotten home till 2 in the morning…) Your outfit is friggin' PERFECT!! You didn't just dress up, you dressed up for THIS production! Fun to share the outing with friends because then you can all reference the same one-liners. ;-) We make ample use of "I'm not dead yet" and variations on that line.
Two thoughts on your Saturday morning outfit: 1-The Bandolino boots are lovely. 2-I now have two wide belts not unlike the red one you are wearing - one is purple and the other is green. They came as a set and were purchased because both colors were in the dress I wore to Robin and Emma's wedding. It's likely that as a result of having seen thick/wide belts on you it was natural for me to decide a thick wide belt was best with the dress rather than a thin one. Aren't they a hoot, Laurie? I love them. I know, I want the yellow shoes to last forever - they are comfy in that they are flat, but they are not like a sneaker. They're just FLAT.
