I had an inkling it would be double-plus-un-fun to be back, so I armoured up in my best colour: YELLOW!
- Nylon daisy jacket - Stella McCartney X Adidas, consignment, Vancouver; last worn here (2nd outfit) in August 2025 to go for a hike with pals Steve and Bev
- Cotton sweater - Ralph Lauren, vintage 80s, thrifted; last seen here in February the day after Mom fell
- Wool skirt - Megan Salmon Somersault Sculpted Pleat Skirt, Fountainhead collection, Winter 2020; last worn here with sparkle on Christmas Eve, December 2025
- Boots - F-Stop Etta, Fluevog; last seen here (2nd outfit) in March for brunch in pink and green
Yellow daisy centres, yellow cotton sweater.
Yellow boots!
I had to take the nylon jacket off for the morning, as I was warm from walking to work.
My colleagues loved all the yellow. So did the kittens - they come running when they hear the camera timer beeping. I scooped up Whateley for a picture. He held still really well! Good boy!
You can see the structure of this dark grey skirt well there. Many folds!
Incognito. I'm happy to have this - my very first piece of Weird Adidas! - jacket back in my closet.
It has a two-way zip that I like to play with - I wore it in a few different positions over the day.

The stuff:
This scarf is also back in my collection. None of my yellows quite matched, but I'm okay with that.

- Silk scarf - vintage, thrifted
Bold bling:
I paid $3.00 for the big yellow bangle, and $1.00 for the steel one - they have to be one of my best cost-per-wear accessories!
- Plastic cuff - thrifted

- Loopy silver ring - consignment, Sidney
- Snake ring - BC Museum gift shop, 1985
- Silver/crystal ring - Soul Flower

Care for a close-up?
"Who do you keep talking to?"
Kitties enjoying the deck.
Soaking up the sun. Whateley matches my pillows!
Barnabas was giving lovey eyes.
Now I'm dreading their wrath when we close the deck in early October...

Such a good skirt. Perfect for your band tee/skirt formula as well.
ReplyDeleteI found this a refreshing outfit, surely because of the daises and yellow, but also because you look so comfortable. The skirt is growing on me; I don't recall what my thoughts were about it in the past but it looks so perfect in this outfit. As for the accessories, the loopy silver ring and both bangles make me smile. :-) And of course, same goes for Barnabas and Whateley - two cutie pies. Don't bother thinking about them and the closing of the porch – it's only just opened!!! Whateley, don't you see all of us when Sheila talks to "us" in the morning? ;-)
ReplyDeleteBy the by, we were in winter coats this morning and this evening. Sheesh! Cheers, Laurie
Your yellow and daisies outfit totally cheered me up, and how lovely to see the kitties enjoying the deck! xxx
