All Day Orange and Weird Copper

I bathed myself in orange for today's outfit.
Ugh, ignore that white lining on the skirt! It's usually a deal-breaker for me, but this is such a good print that it gets a pass.
  • Top - Garcia, consignment; last seen here in May 2025 with my teal suit
  • Long-sleeved sweater - Sonia Rykiel, thrifted; last worn here in March with tricky colours
  • Skirt - Scotch & Soda by Maison Scotch, consignment; last seen here in April 2025 in a much more office-y look
  • Shoes - Groovy Aubrey, Fluevog; last worn here in March with the black tulle Adidas
  • Leather moto jacket (below) - Banana Republic, consignment; last seen here in March

Admiring my hand-party.
This look felt like the dressier version of my weekend band tee outfits.

It was very comfy to wear all day, and the long-sleeved thin sweater allowed me to regulate temperature. Sleeves up! Sleeves down!
The bias-cut skirt is easy to walk in and stride about (as is my wont).

With my badass leather jacket.
I wore it open like this when I walked back to town after feeding the cats at home after work.

Incognito.
Done up for the still-chilly mornings. There's frost out there briefly!

The stuff:
Little bits of green here and there.

  • Silk scarf - Ralph Lauren, consignment
  • Wool gloves - Parkhurst

Copper bling:
This is my Weird Copper. All the oddest pieces from my collection, all with colour added.

  • Copper/red enamel bracelet - Matisse by Renoir, vintage 50s, vintage fair
  • Copper/glass bracelet/rings - Raphael of Canada, vintage 70s, vintage fair; purchased here for $145.00
  • Copper/enamel necklace - consignment
  • Copper/pink enamel earrings - Matisse by Renoir, vintage 50s, vintage fair; purchased here for $14.00
  • Square thumb ring - sidewalk find
  • Copper ball ring - consignment

Another look at this thing on. This is how I wore it for 11+ hours!
So. Badass.

A picture of the boys out on the deck.
"I love the sun!"       "You may join us."

And I did! Many cuddles ensued.

I'll be back tomorrow with a Mom-Day Adventure! Talk to you soon!

  1. I love this! Fab outfit, fab jewellery and fab colours! The jacket and shoes are perfect together. Cute sun-loving kitties!

  2. That weird bracelet-ring reminds me of Cleopatra or the glorified female slaves from the movies! In modern times it's simply "badass" unusual; it says 'mess with me and you'll get THIS in your face'. (Oof, you can see what's on my mind this morning! I just listened to Stephen Colbert's monologue while Fred played it.)
Okay, on to your outfit, which is cheery and - oh my gosh - worn without a coat!!! The jacket is a beauty and, coupled with the scarf, gives the outfit a snazzy put-together look. Thanks to you I started collecting band tees from concerts, though the concerts I attend lean toward folk music. Went to a wonderful Joe Jencks concert at a coffee house but there were no tees for him (not even on his site). Also, if a tee has no artistry then I will skip it (so didn't buy the tee for the Walkabout Clearwater Chorus.)
Here's to a delightful time with your Mom! Cheers, Laurie
