I'm working my way through the backwards hangers - February is a good month for that - and I've landed on this lovely Romeo Gigli dress.
My mind immediately went to these new lime shoes - it's a match made in heaven.
- Cotton sweater - Zara, consignment; last seen here in January with pink and grey for the periodontist
- Wool dress - Romeo Gigli, consignment; last worn here in February 2025 with emerald greens
- Shoes - Classy Bach, Fluevog; first seen here in January with blues and greens
- Down-filled puffer coat (below) - Stormtech, thrifted; last worn here in December 2025
I layered my cotton turtleneck under it for extra warmth - I also have a full slip on.
This dress always looks so good - it's gorgeously cut.
My little camera has been struggling lately - sorry about the blurry pics.
Or maybe it's just me? Demonstrating the extra-long arms.
They required a lot of futzing to get them to stay up along my arms.

Incognito.
It's been hovering around freezing the last few days, and I'm happy to pull out this down-filled puffer. Such a lovely colour!

I took Friday off, so now it's my weekend already! The boys celebrated by snoozing in the tray atop the bedroom scratching post.

Beautiful dress! It is a keeper. Fab styling.
ReplyDeleteIts perect with the lime green, such a great contrast.
ReplyDeleteThe boys look very snuggly.
Have a lovely day tomorrow, hope ypur Mum is doing well! xxx
Two ah ha moments while savoring your outfit. The first: Lime/neon green gravitates to you the same way you gravitate to it. (If he knew what I just wrote Fred would chime in: ah, now you’re giving additional anthropomorphic qualities to an entire color family. 😉). The second: When you carry a color scheme of bookends, accessories, jewelry and outer wear it sets off waves of contentment and delight for me. I think we may have commented back and forth about this at some point - the impact that color, pattern and shape can have on the human brain.
ReplyDeleteIn any case, I see comfort, ease and quiet power in your outfit and think it looks fabulous on you!
Here’s to a heart-warming visit with your Mom and a delightful long weekend! Cheers, Laurie
This dress does look great on you. I love the green details and accents. You look fantastic.
ReplyDeleteSorry for not being around much, work is busy at the moment.
love the colour combo. So happy you look after your mom so well.

This is a really sharp outfit, great dress and accents and the necklace immediately drew my attention for a touch of subtlety. Marvellous that you have a warm puffer jacket that is just the right colour. Those kittens look so cosy in their tray!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites of late! The black and lime green are perfect, and the dress is a fantastic cut on you. Happy long weekend!
ReplyDeleteFabulous. This is a perfect combination on you, and that dress is super cool.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your short week! It must be odd without your boss/friend being there any longer. In my experience, when cool people leave, it’s as though there is a hole in the continuum for a while…
However, it seems that those little fuzzy boys will happily pick up any slack in the “friend” area!
