This is the Benetton dress I picked up last Thursday - I layered a purple and olive blend mesh top under it.
I wear most of my short shirts and dresses in the fall/winter so that I can wear them with tights.
No fear, I have wee shorts on under there.
This dress was ultra-comfortable. And look, I have matching grape tights!
Wonderful big pockets.
I took my cue from the mesh top and mixed olives and brass tones with it. I carried a big purse today and bused home. I love wearing my capes, but they're very tricky weather-wise.

I love olive and grape together.

The boys have discovered the laundry basket and how much fun it is to play in it.
"Barnabas, where are you?" "Heh heh, dumb Whateley."
Such little scamps! And then they are completely CUTE.
"Did I ever tell you I was a cat on a sailing ship in a past life?"
NO!
The lack of daylight isn't very conductive to taking outfit photos, so I now have to limit myself to only taking outfit photos during weekends and holidays ...
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the Benetton dress and those grape tights. Also, the olive bling and shoes! And what a joy to see that Welsh wool cape again!
Barnabas and Whateley are the cutest little scamps! xxx
It's the worst time of year for taking pictures! Thanks so much, Ann! I'm trying to make an effort to wear my capes more!
DeleteThey are!
Love the wool cape. So classic and classy.
ReplyDeleteMeant to comment about how sophisticated yesterday's gray and burgundy outfit was. Very nice!
Judith from Ottawa
Capes work so much better with short skirts, i think thats why I've sold most of mine.
ReplyDeleteLaughing at Whateley sniffing out Barnabas, Why didn't I think of sitting there?! xxx
Great color combo of olive patterned shoes, purple tights and purplish/blue jumper! Being as it's a rainy very windy day here I am imagining a brightly colored patterned top under the jumper. :-)
ReplyDeleteAh, Barnabas seems aptly named for his prior sailing life!
Cheers, Laurie
