I was feeling about 75% today after two full days of basically sleeping, so I got my sh*t together and went to work.
A no-effort Jammy Dress was called for! I had other plans, but did not have enough brain/body energy to follow through on them.
Angled hem, luxuriously large pockets.
Nice big armholes without gaping and showing my bra!

Incognito and doing that scarf thing to cover my bare arms and tattoos.
In a blurry "I should probably sleep for one more day..." way. The last of my milk curdled in my coffee this morning, making me even more grumpy. Good thing the office was relatively empty.

Accoutrements:
I realized as I was listing all my goods, that everything in my outfit - aside from the jewelry - is thrifted! I love that.

- Scarf - fake Louis (Lewis!) Vuitton, thrifted
- Hat - thrifted
The stuff:
I started out with the cute little cream socks you see in these pics, but had to switch to black ankle socks (with the cuffs rolled down low) after the little cream sockies started scooting down into my sneakers as I walked around the house. ARG. These runners are getting a bit thrashed, but they are still comfy as heck.Copper bling:
My copper had admirers at work (Jessica) and the grocery store (clerk). I do love my copper bits.

And now, off for the weekend, and leaving you with a couple of pics I took of Vizzini, who was hiding from the cleaners yesterday.
So sorry to hear you are unwell Sheila, do rest up and not push yourself to get back to the world too quickly. Thanks for your posts this week, I see more red and orange combination and appreciate the review of the Duesy’s. Ask and I shall receive, thankyou! I’m highly surprised - but shouldn’t be - that a sick person can still look so elegant in that lovely outfit. You are so unique and so inspiring. Take gentle care xx
ReplyDeleteStunning dress. Such a good find. Love your styling of it. Lise
ReplyDeleteCount me as an admirer of your copper jewelry. :) The black dress is perfect, so cozy and comfortable, and you look dressed for a warm day. I like the entire outfit and wish I had an appropriate sized and shaped scarf to try your arm covering technique; it’s ingenious and I’ve appreciated the approach in previous posts.
ReplyDeleteRest up Sheila so you can reset your health and energy! In other words, have a lovely weekend including taking a few cues from Vizzini, who definitely knows how to take it easy. :)
Here’s, Laurie
Cheers (how did spell check make that Here’s??)
DeleteLove those photos of Vizzini, the little scamp! Liking the understated but cool dress, elevated with that fabulous jewellery! xxx
ReplyDeleteI now those days. I just put on my boyfriend jeans.
ReplyDeleteGreetje
I hope you went through the day well. I always love a black dress, skirt or whatever! Enjoy your Sunday!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear you were feeling 75% better, Sheila. I do hope you continued to feel well throughout the day, as I usually deteriorate as the day goes on, which makes me regret I went to the effort ...
ReplyDeleteWearing a no-effort jammy dress is the best you can do, and your black cocoon dress looks just perfect for the occasion. Loving the copper bling. And the photos of Vizzini, obviously! xxx
