I met up with my writer friend, Kathryn, today for lunch. She's so very encouraging about my own writing, and it's good to touch base with her about it outside of our book club.
Of course, I dressed up a bit for lunch.
I've changed my toenail polish from yellow to green, so expect green accents for at least the next week! This is the second wear of my swing coat (last seen here), and more than ever, I'm convinced that this will be gone at the end of the month. I'm just not feelin' it.
The green top underneath is a camisole, so it isn't part of the capsule.
My fabulous sail pants make another appearance (last seen here). They were lovely for walking to and from town in, and made flapping noises. The shoes (last worn here) are as comfy as ever.
I'm also wearing balsa wood pop-art green hoop earrings. They also blew around in the wind. They are pre-blog, from about 7 years ago.
Jacket (Willi Smith, consignment), camisole (Smart Set), pants (Noa Noa), shoes (Enzo Angiolini, consignment), earrings (Le Chateau).
Love the green on you!! The earrings are really cool!
ReplyDeleteI'm kinda with you on the swing jacket--i find that silohuette really hard to wear.
The earrings and jacket are so Mod! Love this on you.
ReplyDeleteYou always look great in this jacket, but I can see your point about the jacket. If you don't feel great in it, then that's a good reason to let it find a new home. I finally parted with a swing jacket - one I'd worn only twice in several years. It wasn't feelin' ME :P
ReplyDeleteI have green toe nails, too!
Lovely spring outfit. I have similar earrings to those but in blue. =)
ReplyDeleteLove the earrings. Glad you had a friend to visit. Someday all of us loyal fans of yours are going to organize a mass-trip to your hometown for a Blogger Blowout!
ReplyDeleteI can actually see the original appeal of this jacket in this outfit, but I can see where it's still not working. Love your "sail" pants as always - looking forward to the greens!
ReplyDeleteI just let a very similar jacket go, Sheila. It made me feel very artist-y, like I had a little painting hut in Cornwall (I am a daydreamer!). But it is. Hard shape to wear and DH thought it drowned me somewhat. Replaced my artist jacket with a cute artist cable knit jumper instead!
ReplyDeleteLove the green earrings with the green cami! I really like this jacket, will be sad to see it go!
ReplyDeleteI understand it too about the swing jacket. I had one that I loved for a really long time and then one day I put it on and it just didn't feel right anymore. I'm loving all your pops of green!!
