A gorgeous view of the Castle this morning.
That kind of golden light usually means rain on the west coast.
I landed on my Thousand Dollar Sweater and pink collared sleeveless shirt.
This big crinkly skirt is neither grey nor green, but something in between.
I had an absolutely crazy day, non-stop busy.
I interacted with a ton of people, many of whom were enthusiastic about my outfit.
Regarding the sweater, I will always share this with y'all:
a short-sleeve sweater made with 35,000 crystals, sequins, beads and paillettes that costs a whopping $1,900.
The Fuzzy Flamingo rules! It's cold in the wind, but fine in the rain.
The stuff:
- Silk scarf - Fluevog
- Wool gloves - Parkhurst
- Brooch - Sarah Coventry, vintage fair
Gold-tone bling:
The necklace is real Givenchy, but it's still costume. - Collar points - vintage 80s, consignment
- Necklace - Givenchy, vintage 80s, vintage fair
- Gold-tone bracelet - D'Orlan, vintage, vintage mall, gift from L
- Gold-tone bangle - thrifted
- Brass ring - vintage mall
- Gold/amethyst ring - Frances Jewelers, c. 1965, Dad's
- Earrings - vintage mall
The kitties have been practicing their synchronized napping.
Aw!

That sweater is amazing on its own. Put it with that fabulous skirt, and you've got a simply stunning outfit! I cannot believe that sweater was that much. I forget how much you paid for it, though! You've definitely got a great (I hate using that word...there are so many better ones) eye for things like that! Love the pink blouse with it, too. The kitties looked like yin/yang to me! Hope your week is going well. Mine is meh...husband lost a crown. Luckily, he didn't eat it. But, I had to cancel plans to take him to the dentist in the morning.

It was $19.99!
DeleteI remember that jumper and it loos far better on you that that model!
ReplyDeleteAwww, those snuggly boys! xxx
That's an unbelievable, eye-watering price!!! Wow! It looks glorious in this combination, love the sleeveless blouse underneath and the skirt is a beauty! I concur with the cooing comments from others!
ReplyDeleteYour outfit is way nicer than the vogue one.
Snuggly boys are adorable! Xx
Seems to me that the people who planned the J. Crew photo shoot should have come to you for styling advice! The gloves are great but not with that outfit, and the off-white or pale grey pants are blah. Definitely needed a big crinkly skirt to accompany a sweater of that beauty!
ReplyDeleteI know right? I don't want to slag the outfit, but ugh, could it be any more boring? The gloves do not go with it!
DeleteI quite like this outfit. Gray-ish and gray-pink patterns and pink always make for good playmates! You look relaxed, comfortable and professional despite the hectic-ness of work! Also appreciating that this sizable batch of gold tone jewelry makes me think of Spring!!!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Laurie
PS The snow is slowly (very slowly) melting as it's warmed up just a little. But haha, colder temps in the teens are forecast for next week with...more snow! The winter that helps promote the expression 'March comes in like a lion'!
Totally agree that you styled that fab top way better, and your crinkly skirt and fuzzy flamingo coat really enhance it fabulously!. Looking gorgeous and very professional!
