Another round of meetings in the office today, so I decided to dazzle our guests - with sequins!
I knew that this cardigan would work well in my wardrobe. If it goes with the pink shirt, it's a winner!
- Sequined cardigan - Zara, consignment; purchased here for $69.99
- Top - Denver Hayes, consignment; last worn here in July with palazzo pants and a bustier
- Skirt - Oska, consignment; last seen here in April with my "dinosaur" bomber jacket
- Shoes - Super Fine Cardinal, Fluevog; last worn here in July with a dark floral jumpsuit
The sleeveless top kept the cardigan from being overly warm. It's still a little too summery for something this thick, but I really wanted to wear it.
I was happy that the sequins didn't snag on each other - it was also not prickly, and the pockets were a useful size, if not in a useful position for jamming one's hands into them.
Winner!
The warm tone of the skirt emphasized the gold edging on the cardigan, and pushed me towards gold accessories.
I overheated multiple times so I made sure that my non-sequins-galore outfit was also good to go.

I'm excited to style up this cardigan for fall - it has so much potential.

There are many delights created by female clothes that are probably taken for granted by most cis-gender women -- such as the "rustling" of a skirt you mention here. Wearing female clothes, with their wider variety and interesting features, generates a smorgasbord of sensory pleasures. I enjoy hearing about your experiences in this regard.
ReplyDeleteThe jacket/cardigan is proportioned perfectly and is an equal partner to the nonchalant pizzazz of the entire ensemble. Each piece is a “wow” piece yet they play well with one another. The belt is included in the wow factor, helping to highlight the luscious sleeveless pink top (I love it!) and the grey crinkle skirt. I’d call this a demure boss lady outfit!
