I'm talking about the skirt, get your minds out of the gutter!
Oh, this felt like a long day, not helped by putting out metaphorical fires at work all day. I guess I should be grateful that they aren't literal fires!
However, I did feel smokin' (ha!) in this awesome skirt and my "oil slick" shirt.- Top - Plum, thrifted; last seen here (2nd outfit) in September 2016 with fringe
- Skirt - no label, vintage 80s, thrifted; last worn here in January with red boots
- Shoes - Ralph Lauren, thrifted; last seen here in June with houndstooth and orange
- Capelet (below) - Floating Gold Iceberg, consignment; last worn here for my trip to the dentist last week
I store my "soft tops" and t-shirts in my lingerie chest, so I often forget about them, and they don't get as much wear as actual pieces in my closet. I can always use a black t-shirt, though and the shininess of this one appeals to me. It's a nice cut. Why have a plain black tee, when you can have one that looks like (but doesn't feel like) leather?
The skirt is the schtar, though!
It's pretty spectacular. All those bits at the bottom wave "HELLO!" when I walk. It's leather, and was a smidge warm for a hot day like today, but I wanted to wear it.
A capelet for ink coverage.
Always a bonus when it matches, too.
The stuff:
Comfy and cool shoes!
Gold bling:
How did that piece of turquoise sneak in there?
- Necklace - thrifted
- Earrings - thrifted
- Cuff - thrifted
- Ring - local
Sheila, that skirt is gorgeous! I love the colours and the detailing and especially the bits that wave hello as you walk! XXX Sasha

Thank you for your comment. I don't follow people unless they write blogs about themselves (not advertisements) and until I get to know them.
DeleteI could not agree more that skirt is THE piece ! I think this is my fave look of you wearing it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lorena! It's a challenging piece to style, but I do love it.
DeleteWhat a spectacular skirt! Love how you combined it with the black leather look top. You must have turned quite a few heads in that outfit! xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you! That's always hard for me to judge - I don't get a lot of comments on my clothes in real life. I like it, which is what counts!
