Boss Lady With Wings

Today was a quiet one, and very welcome after a couple of busy weeks.

I still had lots to do, so I mostly stayed close to my desk.
I didn't even have time to visit all of my colleagues who were in the office.

  • Top - Vince Camuto, consignment; purchased here for $15.79
  • Vest - Pink Martini, consignment; last worn here in August over Etro
  • Trousers - H&M, consignment, Vancouver; last seen here in September with pastel blue
  • Shoes - Amalfi, vintage 80s, thrifted; last worn here (2nd outfit) in February with a black party dress
  • Coat (below) - Sarmite Wearable Art, consignment; last seen here in April on a snowy day

First wearing of this new-to-me winged blouse.
It's quite long, so I have a lot of it tucked into my pink satin Boss Lady pants.

I totally intended on wafting my wings at my coworkers!
Next time!

Masked up:
The long grey vest gave me extra warmth - it was very cold in our building today.

Outerwear - first wearing of the season of this gorgeous coat.
It's cashmere (the black parts) and wool (the pink), is lined in pink satin, and all the decorations are embroidered.
"Have you SEEN your coat?" exclaimed the gent working at Rich Rags. I stopped in to do a light bit of shopping (I am so far behind on my holiday shopping).

Accoutrements:
Purple, for a change.

  • Beret - consignment
  • Gloves - Danier Leather
  • Scarf - Fluevog
  • Mask - by Mom

The stuff:
These shoes are so lovely. Not bad for $10.00 - this is their 16th wearing since I bought them in 2016.

Brutalist bling:
Some of my Robert Larin collection, all Brutalist designs.

  • Belt - Nygard
  • Cuff, bracelet and necklace - Robert Larin, vintage 70s, all gifts from L
  • Brooch (worn on coat) - Sarah Coventry, vintage fair
  • Square ring - thrifted
  • Round ring - vintage 70s, Mom's
  • Earrings - vintage mall

Extra bonus pictures!

Last night while I was planning my outfit, I noticed Vizzini was supervising.
"I'm helping."

And my colleague Zeudy sent me this pic of me at the Holiday Gala on the weekend.
Showing off my classy footwear!

  1. As always, you look absolutely gorgeous, Sheila! I love everything about your outfit, especially the coat. What a find!! I'm on the look out for a long coat at the moment. I want something a bit different too, my problem is that I don't like anything heavy and wool coats tend to be too heavy!
I adore your other outfit too...especially with the sparkly All Stars!! FABULOUS!

  7. Wow, you were stunning in that red party dress. Clever to wear sparkly sneakers underneath. We can remember how those high heels hurt us.
I love the blouse and the trousers, also together but I would wear them without the vest. I get it though, being cold is not nice.

  8. Love the pic of you in that stunning red dress! And I am really liking the statement wings on that top! Did they get in the way? They look beautiful but also like they may get in the way a little.
