Brunch Black and Cream

Just a little post/outfit to tide y'all over while I'm on break.
L and I went out for brunch to the Blue Fox, a Victoria institution (I've been going there since it opened in 1991).

  • Dress - Trina Turk, consignment; last worn here (2nd outfit) in July to and from the Ulti field
  • Shoes - Wonders, consignment; last seen here with brights and optics in August
  • Coat (below) - Lord & Taylor, thrifted; last worn here in August

It was a lovely sunny day for our stroll to town.
I enjoyed wearing this lovely woven dress again.

It will be packed away for fall/winter.
The cotton fabric is more warm weather, plus I have so many fall/winter dresses - they need their turn!

This one's a keeper - pockets!
 Ready to go, L?
Get your shoes on, man!

The coat was just for sunblock.

The stuff:
Easy, comfy shoes - these were one of my best finds this season.

  • Earrings - thrifted

Vizzini plunked himself down on my shopping tote.
"Heh, the Woman can't go out if I sit on her bag."

He's watching L here, ready to dash off at the hint of a kitty treat.
"Is that the sound of the kitchen cupboard?"

Silly boy. He was happy to have us home for the rest of the day.

  1. While apparently you are still enjoying your well-deserved break, I am back and doing a little catch up ;-) I'm loving your fabulous funky print dress, and by the sound of it, your weather is much better than ours. Had a bit of an autumnal week ... xxx

    1. The wonders of delayed posts, Ann! The dress is actually woven, not printed. It is starting to feel like autumn now!

  5. That colour scheme is the best. I know you love your brights but black, white and beige/camel are my go to's. Love it and it looks fabulous on you.

  10. I'm behind in commenting, so I hope you're having an excellent break. One of these days I'm going to try a pair of Wonders shoes. I've never seen them around here though, only when I was in Vancouver. May have to wait til I'm back again.

  11. I don't recall this dress, then again you have so many beautiful ones that have to compete with each other when the weather gets warmer :)
I just stopped to say hi as I look at my suitcase and helplessly wonder how I am going to fit everything in it :(

    1. I do have a lot of dresses, and multiple black/cream patterned ones. I can barely keep track of them myself.

Thank you for stopping in, Lorena, it's always great to see you. You can do it!
