New Miu, Chartreuse and Copper

Even though this silk top is squarely in the spring/summer wardrobe category, I like to get at least one wearing in of new-to-me things right away.
And right now, the weather is cooperating with warm days. Not for long, though, I'm sure.

  • Top - Miu Miu, thrifted; purchased here for $17.99
  • Skirt - LAMB, 2005, consignment, Vancouver; last worn here in July with red
  • Shoes - Chie Mihara; last seen here in September with a striped dress and green pants
  • Coat (below) - Zara, gift from Dominique; last worn here in April

This top was a delight to wear - the silk was warm enough in my air-conditioned office.
I layered a mustard yellow cami under it for coverage (it is sheer in the front), which worked well under the chartreuse.

I like how the waist fits snugly, but the rest is nice and loose.
I kept this light-weight skirt out as it has a copper thread woven into it - good for matching to all my fall/winter copper jewelry.

I had planned to wear little socks with these shoes (I also have fishnets on), but it felt too fashion-y. Not quite me.
My cocoon coat returns! I was all about the wacky shapes today.

The stuff:
I like these sandals for fall and am looking forward to doing some tights with them. Purple? Brown? Sure!

Copper bling:
Some favourite pieces return.

  • Bracelet/earrings - Renoir, vintage 60s, vintage fair
  • Bracelet - Renoir, vintage 60s, thrifted
  • Ring - Sarah Coventry, vintage store in Powell River

    1. Nope, I had to wear it while the weather's still nice. I love it with the copper too. Ooh, that's three votes for purple - I'm gonna do it!

  5. Loving this magical drapey skirt and fabulous MIU MIU applique in chartreuse. Those are the perfect sandals, as for tights, maybe purple, argyle and- or brown. Look for leopard tights too.

  6. Fabulous pairing with this ensemble my dear! Love, love, love the whole thing - feminine top, shapely skirt and those classic sandals - all lovingly assembled. Hurrah about the idea of tights rather than socks. Good call.

  8. All this cooper jewellery is such a great idea to bring out the shade of that new skirt.
I can picture this skirt in the cooler months with a black turtle neck and tights.

    1. It was made for my copper collection! I don't really do that turtleneck and tights look, but yes, that would work really well.
