Monday Means a Patterned Dress

After much fun at Dave's BBQ last night, getting up this morning was a chore. I had missed my usual ritual of putting together 5 outfits before bed on Sunday night. Nothing planned, zoiks!
Of course I wore a dress! It's the perfect solution. Look at all that pattern - no one's looking at my tired eyes!

  • Dress - Desigual, Vintage Expo; last worn here in May with turquoise pops
  • Shoes - Half Truth Tanya, Fluevog; last seen here (2nd outfit) in June for the Fluevog store opening
  • Jacket (below) - Club Monaco, thrifted; last worn here in July over my orange tennis dress

It really is a dress - the patterns are all mismatched - on purpose! One arm matches the placket, the rest of the top part is the same pattern, and then there are two more patterns on the skirt portion.

Dresses with allover patterns and classic cuts are the easiest things ever to wear. Dress + Belt + Shoes = Done!
I wore a vintage half-slip under this for an extra layer (it was breezy and chilly this morning).

But that wore off by afternoon, and I roasted on the way home.
I'm happy that the temperatures have cooled somewhat. I'm a delicate f**king flower!

The stuff:
 Happy green shoes! So comfy.

Red and silver bling:
Easy pieces.

  • Belt - Gap, thrifted
  • Leather cuff - Rimanchik
  • Cage cuff - Bauxo
  • Earrings - gift from Megan Mae

  4. I see that like me you usually put together five outfits on a Sunday night! But that's not bad for an unplanned outfit at all. I love how the dress is "mismatched": at first sight it looks as if you are wearing a cleverly pattern-mixed skirt and blouse! Genius! xxw

  5. Shazam!! Yes!! I love this dress. I also love that they didn't put happy writing all over it, which Desigual often does. Three thumbs up. Yes, what tired eyes? Heh.

    1. Oh, they managed to write on this - "Desigual" is embroidered on the back of the neck - but it's subtle. Gads, so tired...

  6. Wild about this dress, as you can well imagine! The print is rockin! I agree a dress makes getting dressed a snap, add a cardi, fabulous shoes, check check !, to those green ones, and a few pieces of bling and out you go!
Fabulous, as always ! Tired eyes, maybe a good nap !! 😘🤗😞😴😴😴💕

    1. Thanks, Elle! It's such a fabulous mix of colours and patterns. Wearing a dress is an easy pick-me-up and it is nearly like wearing pajamas. Thank you so much!

  7. I have realized I'm not a big fan of patterns on me (except for stripes and polkadots) but I like them on other people. I like the mix of colours in this dress, and the fit is very flattering.

    1. That's cool - how boring if we all liked the same things! Thank you so much, Shelley!
