Pink and Grey - Sparkle and Shine

Even if it doesn't quite feel like spring out, I'm firmly in a spring mindset now. I'm going to wear pink all week to celebrate. Capital idea, Sheila.
The grey shiny ruffly (ruffles!) blouse gets to be the first new-to-me item worn this week.

  • Blouse - Jones New York, thrifted; purchased here on the weekend for $14.95
  • Skirt - Studio J, vintage 80s, thrifted; last seen here in September 2016 with a last gasp summer
  • Shoes - Amalfi, thrifted; last worn here with corporate purple in February
  • Coat (below) - Danier, thrifted

I liked this blouse quite a lot - it fits nicely (I might have to put a pin at the boob apex), and it's actually a pretty good grey on me.
I adore this skirt - it has pockets! It's a summer-weight wool, and just feels like quality. And look at that colour. That's Pink with a capital P.

Outerwear:
I'm trying to wear my nice scarves instead of my woolly scarves. This one's silk and is by Marc Rozier, and was thrifted 6 years ago for $6.50. For a flashback, here's the first time I wore it, in 2011, with a little black dress, for my very first "my own" WW meeting as a leader. I note that no one showed up, ha! My meetings are regularly over 50 people now.

The stuff;
I knew it would be a crazy day today, so shoes I don't have to worry about tripping in.

Sparkly bling:
I wore the necklace over the collar of the shirt. I like that look. All classy.

  • Necklace - thrifted
  • Earrings - local

I did my nails last night. This colour is another Rimmel, 10 Seconds Mirror, in Zing.
It's rubbing off the tips, and I've already got several dings in it, but I love this shiny colour. It's a really pretty pink.

  2. Love this look! Question for you - you usually wear a belt for your keys at work. What do you do when you don't wear a belt? I ask, because I am constantly misplacing my ID badge at the office...

    1. I hook my reel clip onto my waistband, belt loop or edge of a pocket. Sometimes I wear a lanyard but they tend to ruin my blouses and sweaters. I have a plastic coil (like what clerks in stores often carry) that I use when I don't have any other way to carry them around. Thanks, Erin!

  3. Yep, that shirt was a great purchase Sheila, it looks so good in the front and fits to well from the back too. All the darts are in place.

    1. It's a really nice quality piece - even the seams inside are all hidden and finished. Quality!
