Indigo, Crackle and Two-Tone Boots

Woo, a busy day over here! It was hopping at work (both works), and I was also prepping to be off tomorrow afternoon. The weekend is starting early!
I got many compliments on this lovely blue sweater - such a great colour. Some people see it as purple - let's settle for indigo.

  • Sweater - Rachel Roy, consignment; last seen here in March with leopard
  • Skirt - Club Monaco, thrifted; last worn here in June with navy and pink
  • Boots - Effortless Sophia, Fluevog; purchased and worn here on our crazy Vancouver in March
  • Coat (below) - Danier Leather, consignment

It's still a little gloomy in the mornings - the top picture's colour is the most accurate. I keep this sweater out all year round - it's one of my favourite pieces (in the sweater category).

I revisited this skirt like an old friend. Note the navy "racing stripe" down the sides and around the exposed back zipper.
I was worried it would cling to my nylons (still too cold for bare legs) but it was great!

Gloves and my leather for outerwear.
My Parkhurst fingerless glove collection is quite large. I buy a new pair every year from Roberta's Hats downtown.

The stuff:
Yeah, I know you are all looking at the boots. Blah blah blah clothes - BOOTS! Boo-yah! to these boots. They were magnificent to wear, and (as I do with my favourite shoes) I waggled my legs at everyone in my office and at my WW meeting.

Silver bling:
Vizzini was happy to see this necklace again. He likes to bite it.

  • Necklace - thrifted
  • Dragon bangle - local
  • Wrap-around bangle - Glee
  • Earrings - local
  • Lapis lazuli ring - Wendy Brandes

He was very naughty this morning and woke me at 5:10am - when he woke me a second time, at 5:45am, I locked him out on the deck. He gets fed when L gets up at 6:10am, which is when I let him in again. He refused to visit me this morning or submit to cuddles. Biting my necklace was all I got.
"You are a horrible, horrible woman! You should have fed me!"
He is happy to have his post back out on the deck, where he can watch the seagulls and the squirrels in our oak trees.
"I'd be happier with food earlier."
Not going to happen, bud.

  1. You're right, your outfit is nice but those boots are the best! :) So nice to see them on.

Vizzini is so cute too! It's funny that Cooper never wakes us in the morning now, one of the boys usually beats him to it. He used to be a morning dog...

    1. I know, right? They're just fabulous. I love this deep blue-purple shade - it really appeals to me. Vizzini projects his thoughts into my brain - I read him pretty well.
